I've always thought our team could kick ass if we used the Triangle.
Obviously we're kicking ass anyway but because I was bored I did a search and found this:

Looks like a pretty extensive piece on the Triangle if anyone is interested.

the triangle is aight. but i like the flex better.
actually saunders uses alot of hybrid phil jackson idealism. but i prefer his freedom set up. we have more plays and can show a different crop of looks.

A ton of teams use part of the Triangle.
Actually, I can't think of a team that doesn't employ the Sideline Triangle.
Flip was just smart enough to take more from it than most.
And fuck Phil Jackson - Tex Winter deserves more credit than he's received over the years.

Then you will love this feature on the Mavericks website. They have scouting reports of opposing teams. They usually have a couple plays with animations and all the explanations.

Good thing we play Triangle Defense here in Detroit.
Block the shit outta somebody...throw up the Roc-a-fella sign.
End.

Wouldn't the triangle take away Billups effectiveness?

You put 3 players on the court. Chances are they form a triangle. Unless they stand in a line, that is.

Rick Carlisle ran the Triangle offense in Detroit. Only three offensive options.

Carlisle had an offenseive game plan?

Triangle offense vs. our Pentagon Defense.
Which one wins? I'm baffled.
OK that was a lame attempt at a pun.
