this is getting weird. in tonight's game versus the Hawks, there were tons of cheers for the Pistons. i remember watching the game in LA versus the Clippers and same thing.
are these Detroit fans abroad? or Piston's fans from different cities? are the Pistons becoming a popular team across the US?

Well lots of ex Michigan people in LA and Atlanta, plus the bandwagon factor.

I always see a lot of Pistons fans when I go on the road to see the team...I think they are more bandwagon fans though.
No one lives in Michigan anymore.
Everybody likes a winner. Besides we don't really have any knuckleheads that people love to hate either.

You can get season tickets to the Hawks for like $200. It's no shocker that there were a ton of Piston fans at the game.

Nah. They were chanting Sheed's name last night like it was in the Palace.
And I know why you see so many Piston fans all over the country. It's because they once lived in Detroit(or the burbs) and my administration had them moved out of Michigan. Simple as that.

While I agree with both of these points, the fact that plenty of people love Rasheed doesn't refute the case that plenty of people hate him also.

but isnt that the greatest thing in life for people to love or hate you rather than be indifferent. because regardless of whether its with love or hate. the fact that you consume them and take told of their emotions w/o meeting them has to be a nice feeling.
nobody wants to be a forgotten indifferent "who gives a shit" guy like great piston champion scott hastings
nobody.

I know that as an out of stater, I try and go out of my way to get to a Pistons game or two in Chicago if I can.
And the Blackhawks games are always PACKED when the Red Wings are in town. It's actually the only times they usually sell out all year.
