I just got a deep fry, so now i'm looking for recipes and what not.

let me just say that if you don't have one you should get one though, they are only like 50 bucks and everything tastes better deep fried. I've deep fried everything in the past week or two, even things that don't sound like they should be deep fried, like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and pancakes. It works though, everything is really better.

So tell me what to fry up!

Deep Fried Mars Bars is a must have whenever you go over to Scotland - well at least Edinburgh. Might be something to try, though I've never tried it and I've been to Edinburgh three times. So maybe it's not really must have, or maybe I just really missed out...

It does draw rave reviews.

Fish. Make your own beer batter (http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,1977,FOOD_9936_10424,00.html), it's easy and it'll be way better than what passes for fish & chips most places.

This is a great thread, I'm surprised it's not stickied.

It reminds me of an old David Letterman sketch, "dropping things off a 5 story building" or something like that.

What should you deep fry?

Cheese. And lots of it.

My wife loves deep fried dill pickles. Not a pickle fan myself (in more ways than one), but apparently they are good.

Ummm... Chicken?

Interesting. Dipped in what? Cake batter? Pancake batter?

I like where you're going with this, it just needs a little more development.

Brilliant. Now, topped with what? Chocolate? Ketchup? Caramel?

Why not cut out the middle man, and just deep fry the defibrilator?

Do you think Crisco would go through an IV?

I might rig this one up at home tonight and report back tomorrow.

Mushrooms, covered with milk chocolate, then topped with whipped cream and cream cheese. Then, dip in buttery pancake batter, and wrap in pizza dough. Cover with cornbread batter. Deep fry.

Mushrooms?

That sounds like health food to me.

The black fella with white hair? He's a good dancer and all, but I don't really want him injecting anything into my mushrooms...

Just dip the bucket in there. The plastic might fizzle a bit so stand back. The colored gasses given off are probably toxic but I'm sure it's fine to eat:
