theMUHMEshow 01-16-2006, 11:40 AM I love these threads (around the nba) however...we should start including the lines for the games instead of straight up.
I am a betting man...lol...and when I look at these I always am wondering what the line is if I have not already seen it.
Glenn 01-16-2006, 01:09 PM I have an idea, now bear with me.
How about whomever gets around to it it first each day should make a new thread like this?
I'm just taking a shot in the dark, here.

I have an idea along the same thoughts.
Would it be possible to have vbookie on here? That would be awesome and it would make these threads a lot more fun.
Just my two cents.

7/9 so far with 3 games left.
H1Man 01-16-2006, 08:04 PM Pau Gasol just blowed by Duncan for a dunk to open the game.
And he blocks Bowen on the other end on the next possesion.
I like the way the game started.
H1Man 01-16-2006, 08:15 PM Eddie Jones and Battier both on the bench with 2 quick fouls.
Gasol is good. I don't know if it's the beard or what but the man is playing outstanding basketball on both ends of the floor.
H1Man 01-16-2006, 09:09 PM Pau Gasol just blowed by Duncan for a dunk to open the game.
And he ends the first half with back-to-back dunks.
If Gasol isn't playing in the All-Star games, there is something definitely wrong.
H1Man 01-16-2006, 10:48 PM Memphis kinda chocked in the 4th quarter against SA. They had the game under control for 3 quarters and Gasol was dominating everybody but they just couldn't close it out.
The refs were absolutely horrible today. Even though the Spurs had foul trouble, I thought that the Grizz got the worst of the officiating. Everytime they go on a run, they would get called for a foul. And they picked up 2 untimely tech's that they didn't deserve.
Also I am kinda suprised at how many cheap shots the Spurs take and not get called for. I don't mind the moving picks and other stuff because everyone does it but Horry in particular has a tendency to push people off ever so slightly. And Bowen is Bowen.
The Spurs started trapping Gasol on the baseline (just like they do to Tay) and Gasol might as well have been on the bench.
Meanwhile, its 4 minutes into the Laker/Heat game and Kobe has already jacked up about 4 shots with his defender all over him.
H1Man 01-16-2006, 10:54 PM Onto the Lakers - Heat game:
Kobe and Shaq went out of their way to greet and talk to each other.
H1Man 01-16-2006, 10:57 PM The Spurs started trapping Gasol on the baseline (just like they do to Tay) and Gasol might as well have been on the bench.
Meanwhile, its 4 minutes into the Laker/Heat game and Kobe has already jacked up about 4 shots with his defender all over him.
It's suprising how many of the coaches and players can't figure out how to handle the Spurs traps along the baseline.
As for the game at hand, Kobe had a couple nice moves (the offensive foul should have been an and1) but he needs to give up the ball early to Brown, Odom and Mihm.
Wow, they just showed a stat that Shaq's current pts/game, FG%, FT%, and Rebs/game are all career lows.
20 mil for the next 4 season for the guy to waste away.
H1Man 01-16-2006, 11:17 PM What's this?
Kobe actually passing up shots?
-NoQuarter- 01-16-2006, 11:25 PM What's this?
Kobe actually passing up shots?
I know, I was just upstairs at my window looking out for flying pigs.
How did the Lakers get up double digits? I looked away for a bit.
H1Man 01-16-2006, 11:35 PM How did the Lakers get up double digits? I looked away for a bit.
Lakers have 1 TO so far (which shouldn't have been an offensive foul).
Lakers are playing solid defense and not allowing any open shots. On the other end, they are executing their sets, moving the ball and going after rebounds and loose balls. All leading Lakers being up by 13 points.
Bynum is in for the Lakers.
-NoQuarter- 01-16-2006, 11:45 PM Bynum! HAHAHAHA! Shaq's a bitch!!!!
H1Man 01-16-2006, 11:45 PM Shaq just owned Bynum. Absolutely nasty.
And Bynum dunks on Shaq at the other end.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH!!!!
H1Man 01-16-2006, 11:46 PM Oh shit.
Bynum with a forearm and Shaq took a swing at Bynum.
Black Dynamite 01-16-2006, 11:46 PM bynum gonna get bhis ass kicked.
Riley is an idiot. i go to shaq thge rest of the game,...he's pissed
Train Wreck 01-16-2006, 11:47 PM Andrew Bynum is my new favorite non-piston.
Shaq should have had his ass kicked out for that forearm.
Black Dynamite 01-16-2006, 11:48 PM Oh shit.
Bynum with a forearm and Shaq took a swing at Bynum.
he forearmed him in the collar bone. but hey, if you got the balls to elbow shaq then expect something back
Riley is an idiot. i go to shaq thge rest of the game,...he's pissed
Quoted for truth.
Of course, I go to Shaq every second the 17 year old is in the game in the first place.
H1Man 01-16-2006, 11:48 PM I am suprised that Shaq wasn't ejected for that swing.
-NoQuarter- 01-16-2006, 11:48 PM Shaq is the biggest pussy piece of shit in the NBA! He has a dunk over a rookie (which should have been an over the top foul), acts like a baddass on his way back, Bynum gets the ball down low, quick little post move past Snaq and jams it, crowd explodes with excitement, Snaq not being able to handle the humilition throws a nasty forearm at Bynum (he's 18 btw).
I hope Shaq chokes on somebody elses' vomit and dies.
Black Dynamite 01-16-2006, 11:49 PM I am suprised that Shaq wasn't ejected for that swing.
im not, it wasnt a full on swing and they dont wanna have him out the game so soon.
Black Dynamite 01-16-2006, 11:50 PM I hope Shaq chokes on somebody elses' vomit and dies.
thats a lil deep. ummm damn :?
H1Man 01-16-2006, 11:51 PM I am suprised that Shaq wasn't ejected for that swing.
im not, it wasnt a full on swing and they dont wanna have him out the game so soon.
That's true.
But the situation couldve turned ugly real quick. And if I were one of the refs I wouldn't want to take that risk.
Train Wreck 01-16-2006, 11:52 PM I am suprised that Shaq wasn't ejected for that swing.
im not, it wasnt a full on swing and they dont wanna have him out the game so soon.
That much is obvious.
If Bynum through that forearm to Shaq, he'd have been ejected.
Of course, double standards aren't new.
Shaq bought a weak move. If I were God I would have ejected him for that.
LOL@TNT (read:the press) already reading Shaq's eulogy
Black Dynamite 01-16-2006, 11:58 PM I am suprised that Shaq wasn't ejected for that swing.

If Bynum through that forearm to Shaq, he'd have been ejected.

no they are not, but they arent a suprise and even our team has been the benefiting party as well as the victim of it.
either way the refs broke it up as did the players. it was diffused so i dont think its a big deal. also i think the ref might've ejected shaq if he hadnt seen bynum initiate the contact(which he did see happen) that always changes things.
Black Dynamite 01-17-2006, 12:00 AM Elton Brand with 35pts 14 rebs and 7 blks...
Train Wreck 01-17-2006, 12:03 AM Yeah, he's pretty good.
The 7 blocks surprise me the most.
Black Dynamite 01-17-2006, 12:05 AM Yeah, he's pretty good.
The 7 blocks surprise me the most.
me too. as much as i lost respect for that team for the hack a ben move. Brand iis a G. the bulls were foolish to let him get away.
-NoQuarter- 01-17-2006, 12:05 AM Seriously, I don't know Shaq off the court. But he's supposed to be a great guy off the court.
ON the court, I hate him maybe more than Artest. I have zero respect for his game after his first year in LA. He's benifitting from being a genetic freak and confused officials. He has never uttered a single nice word about any team that beat him. He made fun of Tim Duncan when Timmy D won the MVP, made fun of Ben not being able to stop him (100 lbs. weight difference, 5-6 inch height difference), never has come even close to giving the Pistons any respect for beating him...EVER, still cries about being let go by the Lakers ( is now putting up career lows in EVERY category), and is an all around douche-bag.
Fuck him. I can't wait until he retires so the NBA can go back to normal again. I'm sick of this "do we have enough big guys to get trampled by Super-Fat?".
Black Dynamite 01-17-2006, 12:07 AM it fustrates me too at times. but we've been kicking his ass so im pretty cool about it. as long as we win he can do all the antics he wants. his and wade's arrogance helps us beat them IMO.
H1Man 01-17-2006, 12:09 AM Shaq is a little baby in that he needs his ego to be stroked constantly. Without all the attention and spotlight on him, he just can't function right.
Black Dynamite 01-17-2006, 12:13 AM pat riley is not coaching this game well at all. i mean damn SVG did a much better job of getting shaq involved.
not that im complaining. its all gravy if they stick to this.
H1Man 01-17-2006, 12:15 AM Lakers up by 18 points.
Odom with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
Edit:
WTF is up the officials today?
Tech on Brian cook.
Black Dynamite 01-17-2006, 12:17 AM wade gets away that off arm more than anyone except maybe kobe.
H1Man 01-17-2006, 12:20 AM I am impressed with Kobe in this game.
Even though he only has 3 assists, he has been moving the ball and giving it up to his teammates.
If their bigs can stay out of foul trouble (Brown and Mihm with 4 fouls), the Lakers have a chance in this game.
H1Man 01-17-2006, 12:23 AM Another Tech?
Brian Cook ejected from the game.
-NoQuarter- 01-17-2006, 12:27 AM That ejection was stupid as hell. If Shaq doesn't get ejected for that nasty forearm he threw, there's no way you give soembody their second tech and eject them for that shit.
the wrath of diddy 01-17-2006, 12:29 AM He's Shaq though. He could walk onto the court shoot any Laker besides Kobe in the face with a 12 guage and only be called for a Flagrant 1 (or 2 which ever doesn't get you ejected).
H1Man 01-17-2006, 12:33 AM Joe Crawford needs to be fucking suspended.
There is no way in hell that anyone would eject Cook under those circumstances. Both those Techs were weak.
-NoQuarter- 01-17-2006, 12:38 AM Wade's just trying add some material for his commercials.
I think I just heard Riley say "I quit, call Van Gundy!"
H1Man 01-17-2006, 12:41 AM So why wasn't Zo ejected for that display of emotion?
It's the exact same thing Cook did. Fuck Joe Crawford. Somebody needs to beat the living shit out of him.
Black Dynamite 01-17-2006, 12:43 AM 9 point game. im hoping for 4 ot's and both teams being worn to death. the lakers are a chuck a holic team and the heat suck on defense. miami is slow on offense and the lakers cant stop legitimate penetration.
the wrath of diddy 01-17-2006, 12:45 AM Flexo showed some emotion? I'm shocked! That asshole acts up if a ball boy accidently brushes him while he's tying his shoes.

BUNNY EAR METHOD BITCH!

The Lakers were suprisingly good on defense for most of the first half but they just unraveled.

they get energy on defense at home, but never sustain it. this is a repetitive theme. they are even having trouble with walker in the post. :?
H1Man 01-17-2006, 12:48 AM Lakers can't do shit without Kobe on offense.
Mihm with a facial on Zo. iamme, I trust you will get a clip of that.
Black Dynamite 01-17-2006, 12:49 AM the heat have found their groove.

When you bring a guy named "Sasha" off your bench, tempo is gonna change.
LOL@ Walton getting blocked and fouling in the same motion.
H1Man 01-17-2006, 12:55 AM I say it again......Lakers can't do jack shit without Kobe.
He just 2 shots in a row with a defender in his face. I think Riley is going to double him.
-NoQuarter- 01-17-2006, 12:59 AM Where's the close-up shot of Wade holding his ankle or wincing after missing a shot?
Looks fine when he scores...
H1Man 01-17-2006, 01:08 AM I swear to god, this game has got to be one of the worst officiated games ever.
When was the last time they called the 8 second violation?
At least it actually was 8 seconds. You can't complain about the bad calls if you are gonna bitch when they call stuff that actually happens.
H1Man 01-17-2006, 01:11 AM At least it actually was 8 seconds. You can't complain about the bad calls if you are gonna bitch when they call stuff that actually happens.
I agree that that was the right call but my only problem is that they almost never call it. If you are gonna call something, atleast be consistant about it.
Black Dynamite 01-17-2006, 01:16 AM i thought posey was supposed to be the heats version of tayshan? :?
H1Man 01-17-2006, 01:17 AM Kobe is fucking clutch.
I'd absolutely love it if Jackson put Bynum in for the last minute and a half.
H1Man 01-17-2006, 01:19 AM I'd absolutely love it if Jackson put Bynum in for the last minute and a half.
He is in.
Kobe hated that shot the whole way ... until it went in, then he hated it twice as much.
H1Man 01-17-2006, 01:23 AM Odom with the clutch jumper. He is one assist from a triple double.
Wade for 3? That wouldn't be my choice.
Black Dynamite 01-17-2006, 01:24 AM as bad as miami has been on defense im not impressed with it being exposed by the jump shooting lakers. fucc both these teams for the lack of overtimes.
-NoQuarter- 01-17-2006, 01:24 AM LOL @ The Heat.
H1Man 01-17-2006, 01:25 AM Great choke job by the Heat.
Black Dynamite 01-17-2006, 01:25 AM this game outside of the fight sucked. :x
Black Dynamite 01-17-2006, 01:26 AM ben's spotlight show>>>>>>>>the lakers vs the heat
man, watching the Heat lose never gets old, lol.
btw, Kobe is unreal.
Train Wreck 01-17-2006, 02:13 AM Yes Kobe is.
He's an assassin. I'm not sure there is one player in this league that I would take over Kobe Bryant if I were starting a team.
Artis Gilmore 01-17-2006, 07:26 AM I watched the first half of Lakers-Heat. Lakers were awesome. Shaqs a bitch and Kobe and Shaq shaking hands didnt surprise me.
-NoQuarter- 01-17-2006, 02:20 PM These threads are soooo damn easy to make. Yup. Amazing really. Probably take a person 2 minutes if they were slow. Just somebody who's on early and can spare the whole 2 minutes to make one for the rest of the board. That sure would be something....
