While these are completely different scenarios, seeing as how the Pistons have been to the top before, the Colts were the best team in football all season, and they're done.
While I'm not sure this team needs that, chalk it up as another thing that can possibly keep them focused on the prize.

What the fuck are you talking about?
As long as we don't sign Peyton or hire Dungy as a consultant we should be okay.
The major difference is a majority of our roster has won a championship whereas the Colts have not. In fact I would say the Colts feel like they can't win it all when the situation gets tight, they panic with adversity. The Pistons on the otherhand respond the most when they face tough situations.

I agree with this.
The Colts get rattled when they are playing in tight games that mean something. That was the reason why the Patriots were able to dominate them in the playoffs.
We, on the other hand, have an ample amount of experience playing in big games.

I agree with this completely. But just because you're the best and dominant team all season (like the Colts) doesn't guarantee a team a championship. That was the point, but obviously several people disagree. That's odd.

I agree with your premise that you can't become fat cats with the playoffs and finals still that far off. I just think the mental compostion of the two teams are so different that people have a hard time seeing the Pistons suffer a Colt like fate.
I mean the Colts are a lot like the Pacers all the talent in the world but they let obstacles become excuses instead of challenges they are determine to overcome.

Are you kidding me? It's not even close. I can't believe you just compared the Pistons to the Colts.
Good job in swatting this bullshit.
