Well Michigan has proven they can play with the best teams on the road, now if they can just win one, people would really believe.

Anyway great game. UM did a good job.

Michigan proved they have the talent to play with almost anyone today. They played well for most of the game, but they do this too much, they'll play an "ELITE" team tough, but they just can't seem to pull out the win. They better start pulling out games like these if they plan on making the tourney. Right now they're 0-3 vs. ranked teams, they're going to need some quality wins.

They have 2 quality wins ND and Miami.


Miami beat UNC and #12 Maryland. So they are not void of good wins and the ND win is on the road.

Ok, here's my take. Michigan really impressed me by fighting and coming back a few times when I thought they were beaten. If they can show that against some lesser teams, they just might do some things.

But until they can break through and finish a top 10 team (which a victory against State would not currently qualify - hahaha), I'm not assuming anything about how good they are. Bottom line, they need a big win.

These are not quality wins. They do not have good records, RPI's, or rankings.

Michigan State will be in the Top 10 when they play next week. And when you are 1-12 in the last 13 contests against a team, that would always quailfy as a BIG victory if you can pull one out. Good luck
