is there an option on phpBB to limit image sizes?

everytime someone posts an image that's too large, the thread gets borked and you have to scroll sideways to read everything (pretty annoying).

is anyone else in favor of limiting the size of the image to say, 800 pixels wide? there really isn't a need to pics to be larger than that.

the picture is 1024x768 and makes the whole thread unreadable.

i wanted to bring it up before, but when i saw your pic (btw, it got me to laugh :D) i was reminded of it.

i'm curious if phpBB has some kind of auto-resizing feature that would display the full image at a smaller size automatically.

I think its a pain in the ass, too.

I usually don't like taking the time to resize images, so if its too big for the screen, I just don't post it.

Perhaps we shove a living snake up the asses of those who post pics bigger than the page?

great post Iamme. I am all in favor of it auto resizing it. Sometimes you find something too big to post (because it causes scrolling), but you also don't want to save it, crop it, etc. The picture should just auto size (if that is possible). I know at TOS they did that with av's, so I imagine that it's possible.
