thought this would have been posted by now :)

Detroit Pistons guard Carlos Arroyo has been suspended one game without pay for making physical contact with a game official.

Stu Jackson, NBA senior vice president basketball operations, announced the suspension Wednesday.

The incident occurred with 7:43 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Pistons' 96-86 road victory over the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets at Ford Center in Oklahoma City.

Arroyo will serve his suspension Thursday night when the Pistons visit the San Antonio Spurs.

but he did deserve the suspension. unlike some here i actually like arroyo's game. but fair is fair and it was idiotic on his part to bump the ref.

I didn't like that shit at all. Arroyo's a knucklehead. he's gotta keep his cool when he's in these situations. Arroyo is a point guard with no control (in many ways). If there is one position on the court where the player needs to have some self-discipline and keep himself cool it's the 1.

This was a close game too, the game was not won once he decided to blow a fuse. It was a ron artest moment. He's lucky the rest of the team saved him for that game. Now they got a game against the Spurs and have no real back up point guard.

It isn't bad officiating. Officials are always bad, they are always fucking up. The ref making the call is just like a fan throwing a cup. Fans are always throwing/saying shit, and refs are always making bad calls but if you respond in that fashion then you fucked up more.

If I was Joe D. I'd have a chat with arroyo right now, and depending how that went i'd start looking for a trade.

I really don't think that Arroyo will be traded because he bumped a ref. These things happen, and he was only suspended one game. It was boneheaded, but I don't think Joe will think differently of Arroyo because he was emotional during a game.

If he is traded, it will be because Joe found a very good deal for him.

think about that though. he is a POINT GUARD. he comes off the bench but he is still the leader of the team whenever he's on the floor. Do you want your leader to not have any composure?

It's beyond the chest bump though, that's just the icing on the cake. the more i watch him play the clearer it becomes that his head is too cluttered to successfully run the point.

Have you ever seen arroyo read a defense and pick it apart?

has Arroyo developed any chemistry with the team?

What does Arroyo bring to this team that we need so badly?

All i see arroyo do is throw pretty passes, most of them are bad decisions. He can handle the ball as fancy as anyone, but he is just average at protecting it.

Personally, I like what I saw tonight having Prince bring the ball up and on the court as the same time as Delfino.

I wouldn't mind that for 10 minutes or so a game since I'd rather have Delfino out there than Arroyo.

Maybe this suspension got Arroyo's head right.
