She's that one cocky bitch who once beat Venus Williams...once.

How the mighty have fallen. (http://www.comcast.net/sports/index.jsp?cat=SPORTS&fn=/2006/01/11/301673.html)

I wouldn't really say she has fallen. She's only 16 years old. They've also only played once.

Well, sure, Comrade, but 16-year-olds don't usually dope up.

You'd be surprised how many 16-year-olds do.

Well, tennis players?

Well, tennis players?

Why not? I'd say even more likely for a tennis player, considering you can make a lot more money at 16 playing tennis as opposed to playing football.

steroids arent being pumped into american 16 year olds. thus its probally a bigger shock to american tennis fans. but foreign players could dabble into anything im guessing.

What, is there some new hand-eye coordination steroid out? Or one that allows for agility?

Seriously, tennis is not a sport to start doping in. Football and baseball are the obvious two. Basketball falls along similar lines, unless you are a big man, in which case doping may seem like the right idea.

actually yess.

James Toney was stripped of his title for taking steroids that have been known to improve your reflexes and mental concentration. they exist.

What, is there some handeye-coordination steroid for baseball too? It's called speed and strength. Have you ever actually seen tennis being played? And clearly it is, or this thread wouldn't even exist.

And Gutz, use of performance-enhancing drugs in highschool are at the highest they've been in decades. It's a shock because American fans in general are ignorant.

All right, sorry Comrade, I didn't realize that there actually ARE such steroids out there.

I guess, overall, it's just a stupid mistake.

But yeah, high school steroid use is nuts. I could probably name 5 people at my school who use 'em.

well im doubting its for tennis. tennis and its been high for awhile IMO. for football, weight lifting, wrestling, and even basketball bulking. yea i totally agree that steroids have been booming in high school. especially anabolic steroids which some bodybuilders swear by as harmless.

either way tennis isnt getting a big amount of steroids being used in america. in other countries where half the steroids out there are legal anyways and accepted as ok, it can be a problem for any sport.

americans arent ignorant moreso than them not wanting to know. if a muthafucka idolizes barry bonds, raffy palmeiro, sammy sosa, etc.; the last thing he wants to hear is how they cheated themselves ahead of the pack.

funny thing is bonds would probally been a hall of famer w/o the steroids. but its too late now.

No problem, man. I don't expect you to be up-to-date on your roid's knowledge. I know personally, as I juiced at 16. And I wasn't the only one on my team. Far from it. If you cycle certain drugs properly, you can maximize strength and minimize bulk.

Ah. :? Well, it's good to know that you're a reliable source. How long have you been clean.

A little over 2 years. I stopped at the start of my senior year of highschool.

Edited to say that it was also the year I played my best football and did my best wrestling.
