GM sounds content to stay with Watson

Trade rumors surrounding Nuggets guard Earl Watson have run wild since he became eligible to be dealt on Dec. 15.

But since the first-year Nugget has been playing well, Denver doesn't seem too interested in parting with him.

"It would be hard to trade him," Nuggets general manager Kiki Vandeweghe said Tuesday. "That hasn't changed. Nothing has changed since the 15th (of December). He's very valuable to our team."

Watson, who signed a five-year, $29 million deal in the offseason, had 15 points, eight assists and six rebounds in a 139-137 triple-overtime win over Phoenix. He declined comment about his situation. His new agent, Todd Ramasar, is expected to meet with Vandeweghe today.

Kiki's just doing the typical fluffing of a player he wants to deal to keep/raise his value, IMO.

I still think Watson will be traded as soon as they can find a right deal. The Nuggets aren't exactly setting the world on fire and they could use some serious help in the frontcourt. Even if they don't trade him before the deadline, they will trade him during the offseason.

any chance they keep him and get rid of miller or boykins instead?

i'd love to have the midget here.

maybe something like...

Darko and Arroyo for Watson and Boykins could work.

honestly i don't understand why boykins doesn't start for the nuggets. I think he's the best player on that team.

You know what's funny? If WTF was allowed to pick players for the Pistons,
we'd be rolling with Harpring, Watson, Billups, Prince and McDyess. HAAHAHHA!

If Kiki deals Watson for anything besides a big, then they should can his ass immediately.

What big do you imagine a 2nd string point can pull?

Wherever he gets traded, he'll start.

Depends on what kind of bad contract they'd be willing to take on.

Jerome James
Theo Ratliff
Brendan Haywood
Chris Mihm
Adonal Foyle
Tony Battie
Kelvin Cato
Rasho
Stro Swift
Mark Blount
Lorenzen Wright
Kandi
Nazr
Wilcox
Ely
Osterfat

those type guys, I would imagine

Jerome James - Not over Marbury
Theo Ratliff - Not over Telfair
Brendan Haywood - Not over Arenas
Chris Mihm - Not in an offense that needs a 2nd/3rd scorer and see Parker as their only hope of one this year
Adonal Foyle - Not over Baron
Tony Battie - Not over Franchise
Kelvin Cato - Not over Franchise, again
Rasho - Not over Parker
Stro Swift - Possibly with Van Gundy's obsession for defense
Mark Blount - Not over West
Lorenzen Wright - Possibly because of the Stoudamire over Bobby Jackson ... maybe?
Kandi - Maybe over Jaric (is he even still starting?)
Nazr - Not over Parker, again
Wilcox - Not over The Alien
Ely - Not over Brevin "the assist machine" Knight
Osterfat - Not over Williams

those type guys, I would imagine

I didn't even go into how many of those teams would have no interest in Watson.

btw, Marbury could easily move to SG, which is why LB has been begging for a legit PG all season long.

So by "those type guys" you meant, "No one on this list of 15+ guys"?

True, and LB would be the one to do it. Especially with a poor man's Eric Snow.

I wasn't looking for a fit, I was looking for guys with comparable value as a point of reference.

Thanks for doing your due diligence, however. Like a midget at a urinal, it keeps me on my toes.

Do your balls hang low, do they wobble to and fro?
Can you tie them in a knot, can you tie then in a bow?

Does your wife throw them over her shoulder, when she bend down low to blow 'ya?

Do your balls.... hang ... looooooowwwwww.

How much has Q's stock fallen in the past year?

No Takers For 'Q'
Jan 12 - Knick president Isiah Thomas is finding out that Quentin Richardson and his bad back are not in high demand, reports the New York Post. The Knicks' offer of Richardson for point guard Earl Watson has been rejected by the Nuggets, reports the newspaper.

Looks like he already figured out how to use Markieff better than Horny ever did.
