If you haven't seen the preview for it i suggest the you take a look at it.
http://vforvendetta.warnerbros.com/

i think this will be a great movie if its anything like the graphic novel. and for those who haven't read the graphic novel i would like to share its excellence with you. just click below

this is a well written, well thought out graphic novel with a damn good story. no matter what type of books you read should enjoy this classic masterpiece by the estranged Alana Moore whose already had two of his books coverted to movies(against his wishes and without his blessing though), with V For Vendetta being the 3rd and "300" to be the fourth. and also the watchmen was just picked up to be the fifth. as you can see moviemakers are infatuated with his out of the ordinary graphic stories.

intructions:just unrar/unzip the file
2.)open the cdisplay setup file
3.) once the file is set up just open the v for vendetta files, read, scroll, and enjoy.

Alan Moore's a pimp. What were the other movies? I can't remember?? V was previously like a British made for TV movie I think but other than that I can't remember.

read the above post. watchmen, league of extrordinary gentlemen(the one book they fucked up IMO), 300, v for vendetta, from hell, and thats about it.

and no the V you're talking bout is a whole other V ...it was an 80's classic but not an alan moore work.

I forgot about League of extraordinary gentlemen and From hell, but to be fair, YOU might actually want to read your above post, because you don't mention them anywhere:

Alana Moore whose already had two of his books coverted to movies(against his wishes and without his blessing though), with V For Vendetta being the 3rd and "300" to be the fourth..

I know you didn't mean V, I seem to remember there being some kind of V for Vendetta Miniseries on BBC or something that I heard about a few years back but I'm not sure.

damn my bad...

but i never heard of the mini series. i think that might have been something else. alan moore is real moody about his material being adapted to screen and only big studios paying top dollar can afford the rights from dc and dark horse. he hates everything that has come out from his books though.

he's an odd cat, but great at writing stories. especially great at not writing typical stories. him and frank miller are the fathers of the Mature graphic Novels'comics era that was peaked popularity thoughout the 90's.

his most popular comic of all time is Batman: The Killing Joke. even did a couple of Comics on Denny's favorite hero Superman.

great at writing, bad at shaving.

If/when Watchmen makes it to the theaters, I hope that whoever makes the film doesn't ruin it. It's too good of a story to ruin. Gonna cross my fingers on that.

well i think warner bros bought its rights. or posibly viacom/paramount. if it was warner bros, then you have a good crop of directors to direct it. if its paramount then it might be doomed.

ok i just looked it up. warner bros snagged it from paramount and kicked off the original director and may get a new script to replace the one already written.

the complaint is that the script they had was too dark, complex, and had too many characters(which probally means it was more like the comic*lol*). whether they still use it or not is up in the air.

I'm with you on that. V for Vendetta I think will make a great movie, Watchmen could be much harder to do. Too much subtlety and backstory to get across.

v for vendetta is a much more str8 foward story that is more to the point and deals with two main characters. its the stories he does with more than 1-2 main characters that are hard to translate. like league of extrordinary gentlemen. that movie failed to equal the graphic novel because of its lack of intergrating all the characters together as well as the book did.

also one hhidden alan moore gem was his 3 part mini series spinoff of Spawn called "Violator". my fovorite mini series of all time.
IMO the only adaptation that worked was from hell. i thought it was terrific in its interpretation of the original.

For me, Spawn was completely ruined with the movie, especially the character of the Violator.

just read the watchmen series today(the games were boring so fugg it)...

very good work, but the ending was annoying. i wont spoil it though(even though its out of print and hard to get).

Also making a movie based on it is a very very bad idea(good luck paramount/viacom). its best shot is as a miniseries on HBO or something. but not a movie at all.

it also provided me a new favorite superhero ..the Dingy Stanky Criminal killer Rorschach

...even did a couple of Comics on Denny's favorite hero Superman.

Superman is not my favorite comic of all time. I'm simply looking forward to the movie.

Lobo is my favorite. Can't wait for them to try that one on the big screen. Gotta include the dog, too. I'd like to see them do "A Contract on Gawd".

see of all the cult favorite comics, lobo is by far my least favorite, blame my youth or lack of respect for the art. but i never got the humor of lobo all that well. honestly it felt dry as nevada soil.

but lobo has a great cult following, i just couldnt run with it myself.

Simon Bisley did the best Lobo in Lobo's Paramilitary Christmas Special, where the Easter Bunny hires Lobo to kill Santa Claus, or Krusher Kringle as he's known to his slave elves.

There were some bad Lobos. Alan Grant can be hit and miss. But that can be said for many books.

I thought it was a very good movie - not as much action as I had thought after seeing the previews, but still very good to say the least. I would give it a solid 8 out of 10.

Saw it last night. I didnt see the graphic novel or anything but its a good movie. Honestly, before i went to the theaters, i have never heard of that shit. So i thought to myself, this is going to be a shitty movie. Actually, it wasnt that bad. It all started to make sense.

2 bad things about it

I'm sorry but I cant stand it when people say.."tele."

Fuck long movies
