I have to be honest...I miss The Blues being a top tier team. It's sad how far they have fallen. That being said, there is no better tonic for a loss than to play those crummy bastards. This aught to be a bloodbath.

Prediction: Wings-5 Blues-1

the blues have put up a fight in the last couple games they've played
plus manny is back and might be a bit rusty........4-3 Blues

I can see your point. I, for one, am glad to have Manny back. Ozzie is KILLING me with the soft goals.

what did you expect even back in the stanley cup days he was only OsGOOD he never was and never will be OsGREAT

this is where the salary cap hampers the wings
never again will they be able to buy a goalie like years past
hello first round draft pick goalie

Who cares if they can't buy another goaltender? The only productive goalie they really "bought" was Hasek and I don't really think he had that extraordinary of a year here. We could have probably won with anyone between the pipes.

You know, this who goalie thing is taking me a while to figure out but it seems that everytime we get a high profile goaltender they just seem to do so-so here. I think it has to do with the lack of shots that they see. Maybe they just need to get in a some sort of grrove that our stellar defence just doesn't allow. Take Joseph for example. He saw a hell of a lot more shots when he was in Toronto than he did in Detroit.

....however....

Khabibulin is sucking hind tit in Chicago and caving under the pressure of seeing 75 shots a fucking game. Maybe he's the goaltender we need? Too bad we can't afford him. I just want The Wings to bring someone up like Howard that can learn to play with these guys from the beginning.

I seriously don't know what the answer is...I just know these things:

1.) Osgood is a heart attack waiting to happen every night. He smacks of brilliance and then breaks your heart...sometimes in the same game. I was ahppy to get him back because he is a servicable goaltender that can keep you in games...but the 5 hole....C'MON!

2.) Brodeur is looking awfully average without his bruising defence and his ability to play the puck anywhere. I used to think he was the best of all time....now I don't know.

3.) Colorado is NOTHING without Roy. I really thought that they would be better than this. I don't think the Forsberg deal is really affecting him that much.
