I've tried, but to no avail.

My buddy and I are in a debate. I say there were only 8 major bowl in 1966 for the top 25 teams in the country to choose, the rest being regional bowls played by inferior teams.

It all stemmed from a discussion about Notre Dame. ND did not play in a bowl between the late '20's to 1970, simply because the final standings did not include bowls, which were seen as "exhibitions" until 1970.

Doe any WTFer know of a site that clearly displays the bowl results for every year (or at least as far back as 1950, by then all major bowls except Fiesta had been established)?
