I just looked at the NBA history web page to see jordan's stats. I was curious how many shots he put up in an average game.

By acclamation, Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time -- although a summary of his basketball career and influence on the game inevitably fails to do justice to the man.


how the fuck does that not do him justice? the guy has every single award you can think of. No man has ever had a bigger influence on the game, the only guy people can make an argument for is Wilt. Every player that's currently in the league at one point watched MJ play and studied him because he's the greatest of our era without question.

So how does this not do him justice? scribbling nonsense to hype up someone who's already the most built up man on earth is not necessary when you're talking about MJ. He's the greatest and everyone knows it, there's no being undersold.

If the writer was trying to refer to Jordan's character as a human being, that he's even a better person than he was a player, then to that person I say slow the hell down. Maybe, despite an obvious gambling problem, being unable to turn down any endorsement contract from batteries to drawers, an unhealthy penchant to be in the spotlight at all times, and a complete inability to do anything in the game other than play, Jordan is a hell of a great guy and a Class A Model Citizen. I prefer not to believe that because I detested him as a player, but let's just say it's true.

Does he really need the added attention? Hasn't he been exalted to the point of deity already? What's the point of trying to even further pump his legendary status by throwing in unprovable facts about his alleged non-existent goodwill, honor, or even niceness?
