My "I'm back" thread turned into a Lloyd Carr bashing thread somehow, so I thought I'd start one for everybody.

I figure us Spartan Carr haters can unite with the intelligent Michigan fans that hate Carr and have some fun. I wanted to post this when it happened but WTF wasn't up yet, so here it goes:

Anyone catch Carr's latest crybaby fit? For years Carr was not a fan of the playoff system. His Wolverines with their strong fan base regularly benefited from the bowl selection system. Meaning, because their fans travel well (big rich alunmi) they often received better bowl bids than teams that had better seasons. Need an example? 99/00 The Spartans go 10-2 and so do the Wolverines. BUT, the Spartans beat the Wolverines and therefore finished 2nd in the BT ahead of Michigan. BUT, Michigan went to the BCS bowl as an at large bid and MSU went to the Citrus. Carr had no problem with the bowl system then.

But, finally it bites him when Iowa was selected to go to the Outback because of travel purposes. The committee said the Michigan fans would not travel as well as Iowa fans because Michigan fans would consider the Outback as not very attractive after visiting the Rose last year and having high expectations this year.

Anyways, all of a sudden Carr starts bitching about the system. Crybaby starts crying saying, "It's just too bad that the players on the field don't determine where they play." :binky: WHERE THE HELL WERE YA IN 2000 YA WHINING LITTLE BITCH? The guy goes on a rant about how we now need a playoff. Why didn't we need a playoff 10 years ago retard? Oh, because Michigan finally got the shaft. I see how he works.

And to strengthen their case Michigan was only able to sell 6000 out of their 10,000 allotted tickets for the Nebraska game.

it was a letdown for Michigan to land in that bowl. of course nobody wanted to go

however, for nebraska, to get into that bowl vs Michigan and win, could not ask for anything better, specially they way they've played this year and last.

Nebraska are a bunch of famers who have nothing better to do in the winter than travel in car that costs a lot less than having to drive 2 days to get to SA from Michigan, but also is not the cheapest to go by plane.

Saying that. Carr is blah. I wouldnt mind a new coach.

I didn't even read the first post, as I'm sure it's chock full of Spartan homerism. With that said Lloyrd Carr is at best an average head coach and Michigan will rarely succeed with that guy at the helm.

Maybe you should read the first post and stop assuming.

Wow Tre, you REALLY hate Michigan, I'm sorry to hear that you waste so much time despising everything about that school instead of worrying about your own.

But yes, I do agree that Lloyd Carr sucks.

For the last 20 years I've been questioning which is greater? Tre's hatred for Michigan or love for State. I honestly believe it's the former.

And yes. LLLLoyd Carr really sucks. I don't care how bad the refs were. Michigan has top 5 talent and was a double digit favorite and had another come from ahead loss to a mediocre Nebraska team. That's unacceptable. Next year will be a 1 year job audition for Carr. If Michigan does not go to a BCS bowl, expect a major shakeup.
