First possesion: Typical Lions drive resulting in a 3 and out.

Then our special teams allow Antawn Randle El to go 81 yards on the punt return for a TD.

Second possesion: Joey sucks ass on 1st and 2nd downs but decides to do Brady on us on 3rd downs. Result: TD

Our defense forces the Steelers to go 3 & out.

Let's see if our offense can pick up where it left off.

Joey is an absolute stud on 3rd downs today. 63 yard pass to Bryson. 8)

TD pass to Schlesinger.

What in the hell is going on? 14 points in 12 minutes is way too many.

SPOILER TIME!

In typical Lions fashion we almost allowed the kickoff for a TD. It ended up being a 63 yard return thanks to a Hanson tackle.

Joey is a fucking pimp of 3rd downs (even though Roy almost lost the last pass).

If we can put together a nice drive on this possesion and get a score, I might start believing that we can win this game.

It makes perfect sense that on the one day when our offense is actually playing well, our special teams and defense decide to suck ass big time.

Who the fuck are these guys? The OL is actually blocking somebody and opening holes. Joey is making plays in and out of the pocket. Our WR's are not dropping the passes and our running game is doing decent. Somebody find where the real Lions are.

Edit: Just as I say that, the OL completely collapes and our offense goes 3 and out. Looks like we back to Earth.

You have gotta be fucking kidding me.

Our defense gets a sack and forces a 3rd and out and Eddie Drummond promptly fumbles the ball. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Can't really blame the defense today. The Steelers have had great field position, not to mention they're the best team inside the 10.

The Steelers might win, but shit, is their defense being exposed or what? The Lions are moving the ball with no problem at all.

If it wasn't for our "special" teams, the score would me more like 14-7.

And there is another turnover by the Lions. :banghead:

Interception by Bracy Walker.

He throws a dumbass lateral (an illegal one) to Shaun Rogers, who ends up taking a shot to his leg and ends up hurt.

He limped off the field but I don't think its that serious. He might be able to come back in the 2nd half.

Edit: Shaun Rogers is back in the game to start the 2nd half.

Our defense got raped on the first possesion of the 2nd half.

And Kevin Jones promplty fumbles the ball to start the Lions drive. Luckily it was recovered by us. And Roy Williams drops another pass that hit him right in his hands.

And Joey is once again an absolute stud on 3rd downs. Now where was he all season (or the for the last 3 seasons)?

Seriously, who the fuck is this guy playing in place of Joey? A Joey run for 1st down.

TD pass to Roy Williams.

HOLY SHIT! ROY WILLIAMS!

Joey and Roy work so well together. Too bad they're both inconsistent(and Roy is brittle) as all hell.

Roy Williams can make the acrobatic catch in double coverage but he can't fucking catch a ball that hits him right in his arms.

Does anyone else find it odd that we are carving up Pittsburgh on offense? If I am correct, they are in the top #3 for both run and pass defense, yet the Lions are killing them.

If it wasn't for the special teams and the penalties, we would be leading by 14.

Score update? I'm lazy.

Pittsburgh 28 - Detroit 21

I fucking hate Ben Roethlisberger. No one does less with more as much as Roethlisberger.

It was a good attempt, but we came up short.

It was a good attempt, but we came up short.

It was a good effort by our team, especially against an quality team like Pittsburgh.

Our offense was great today. If it wasn't for our special teams and defense we might have pulled out a W.

Atleast with the loss, it gives us better draft position and more importantly we can figure out who is our coach. Since KC is out of the playoffs, we can announce if we hired Al Saunders.

I'm really not that mad at the defense. You can't really blame them for the mistakes of the special teams. We also had a bunch of second stringers and Kalimba Edwards is still rotting on the bench.
