The smooth flow of Jay-Z and the head-bobbing beats of Kanye West blare throughout every NBA arena. The latest and loudest music is heard while teams are warming up and after the game's final buzzer. Music is even played at a high decibel during games and that's where some fans and even NBA Commissioner David Stern take issue.

In a recent ESPN online chat, Stern said he was no fan of teams blaring music or sound effects during games. An unidentified fan said there's something wrong with the league if the game cannot provide fans with all the entertainment they need without canned music. Stern agreed.

During the game, take it out. Its annoying as hell. But before the game and during timeouts, I dont see the harm.

Canned sounds are good. Like when RIP makes a basket and they play "YES SIR!" or Big Ben's Bells. Or when they play a short clip of a song or movie. I dont have issues with that. I do have issues with music during actuall game play. Annoying as fuck. I'm trying to watch my team, not get my grove on.

If you go to watch the game then why do you need the music or the girls or the noises?

If you want that go to a concert. The game should be the entertainment.

Then again, the league needs to move with the times and understand it is competing with a ton of other entertainment options.

Personally I have no problem with the sounds, girls and music. It doesn't take away from the game so why fuck with it?

I also hate music during the game. None of that isht. I don't mind it during timeouts/before/after--nor do I think it's too loud, although I don't necessarily like it either. Bring an iPod.
