I'm still getting that error too. Nobody else mentioned it, so I updated my windows completely and reset all my internet explorer settings just to see if it was my PC. But it's still happening to me too. Wierd.

Then I'll go look at stuff and when I want to post it wants me to log in again. This is a bitch since I use the Quick Reply thing all the time.

I use Firefox 1.5 and I cleared my cache a bunch of times last night because i was working on my site. I also use a Mac, which i'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I mean, it shouldn't.

Well, no fuck ups with using Explorer so far and I've done the usual (boardroom, stands, then here)

So no more firefox at WTF.

There is a problem with this emoticon.

The only way to get it to display properly is by posting the URL and using img tags.

Check the privacy tab in your internet options. Make sure its on Med. or Med. Low.

Does this site use any 3rd party cookies? The reason I ask is because my security options are set to reject all 3rd party cookies, so I am not sure if that plays any role in the login issues.

The problem does occur with Firefox too, so I don't think it's just limited to IE.

I think the issue might be with Firefox.

Whenever I used Firefox, I almost always had to login multiple times before it worked. But with IE, it's not as frequent.

Thats fucked. Is there a security setting with FF? Sorry, I dont use it. The new IE explorer does a great job of blocking popups and most spywear, so I never bothered. I do miss tabbed browsing though :(

The way I understand it, there's actually a few second delay in getting the visitors moved over to "Who's online" after they log in.

Does that make sense?

When you see a visitor "checking private messages", that is actually a registered poster that has just logged in and their name just hasn't been recognized/moved over to the "Who's online" section yet.

I'm sure that clears it up.

It works 98% of the time, like when I click on your profile, I can view your posts. But I have seen it every now and then when it doesn't work.

And yes, the site has been slow on occasion over the past two days. Hopefully it's temporary, but since your site is hosted at the same place, you probably know more about this than I do.

Seems to be working fine today.

Cliffy's site was slow as hell yesterday too. But things seem to be ok.

I think its going up and down on my end. I'm fearful that the host oversold their bandwidth because of the outrageous deals. I checked the host for any status but I don't see anything. We'll see what happens.

the support team over at Dreamhost said that everything looks fine, but they're going to check the servers that the databases for the site use to make sure everything's working ok.

yeah the site seems to be lagging for me as well. we've contacted the webhost to see if there are any issues on their end.

just got word from the web host that there were some sites that share the server with WTFD, which were causing slowdowns across the server. they're looking into fixing the problems and we should see speeds back to normal soon.
