View Full Version : NBA Schedule stuff
Mr. Oobir 08-10-2018, 06:54 PM Some things I've noticed while digging through the schedule:
-Atlanta starts the season on a three-game road trip and doesn't get a home game until more than a week into the season. Brutal.
-On April 7, NBATV is supposedly showing a game at 8:00 and another at 8:30. Don't know how that's supposed to work.
-Pistons still have their MLK Day game, but it's not at home. Too bad.
Will keep you updated.
Timone 08-10-2018, 06:56 PM Would be great if we had 0 games against the Wizards this upcoming season.
Mr. Oobir 08-10-2018, 10:31 PM If you include the spaces, "Minnesota Timberwolves" and "Portland Trail Blazers" have the same number of characters. Wow!
Also "Detroit Pistons" and "Toronto Raptors." I'm learning so much.
Mr. Oobir 08-11-2018, 12:23 AM Whatever program the NBA used to fill in the schedule details seems to automatically add a comma and a space after the "City" in location data (so entering "Los Angeles" as a city gets rendered as "Los Angeles, "), expecting a state to be listed afterwards (so "Los Angeles, CA"). I noticed this because the games in Mexico City and London are rendered as "Mexico City, Mexico, " and "London, ", showing that the "State" field was left blank but the comma is still there. What a blunder!

Just use the proper comma delimited separator.
Mr. Oobir 09-21-2021, 11:07 PM Wow, it was weird how there wasn't a 2020-21 season and thus I didn't need to make a schedule for it! Luckily, things are back on track and now I have NBA print schedules for 2021-22!

Mr. Oobir 09-21-2021, 11:14 PM I have no clue what's up with all the TBD games at the end of the season, but it's been like that since the schedule was revealed and nothing has been said about them so that's how they they're listed on my site. I didn't want you, my NBA loving friends, to think I got lazy and slacked off at the end of the process. Hopefully one of our intrepid NBA newshounds is on the case and will get the truth out of the league before too long.
Mr. Oobir 09-22-2021, 12:19 AM Also, I realized that I had one more domain name I could register under my current hosting provider for no extra charge, so you can now visit
http://www.lookatthetimes.com
for all your NBA schedule needs as well. It brings you to the same site right now; hopefully I move everything over at some point, because "vrowl" really sounds like a site for virtual-reality news rather than sports schedules and that has to be hurting my SEO.
Glenn 09-22-2021, 05:38 AM lol I was expecting chocolatefan.com or something
Mr. Oobir 08-24-2022, 07:41 PM New schedule, go to site to get
