JS 07-01-2016, 05:43 PM What blows my mind is NBA owners and Gm's being their own worst enemies. What I mean is handing out these massive contracts just because they have money to spend. Evan Turner, Jeremy Lin, Matthew Dellavedova and Tim Mozgov got insane money that just one year ago would have been worth contracts of 1/3 of what they got now based on their production. The Ish Smith deal is a steal by comparison. The smart move by SVG would be to get involved in facilitating a deal to create cap space for signing Durant, Horford or other desired big money guys. Teams looking to create enough space to add a big name guy will need to dump salary. Those salary "dump" guys would be steals based on the new contacts being handed out. Andrew Bogut for example is making 12-13 million next season, a steal compared to what guys are getting in this FA period. In all likelihood Teams who are clearing way for a big signing aren't going to expect much in return for cap space maybe conditional picks.
