View Full Version : Detroit vs. Golden State
Mr. Oobir 11-09-2015, 06:01 PM It's time for the Battle at the Bay, Ragnarok at the Arena, Walton's Folly: the Detroit Pistons take on the Golden State Warriors tonight in Oakland. Will Andre Drummond deploy a demented destruction of the Dub's defensive line? Was the Warriors' sloppy win against Sacramento on Saturday a sign of a slump? It's time for answers to these questions and more as the Pistons show why this a season you won't soon forget.
Tonight at 10:30 EST, the continuing saga of Detroit vs. Everybody.
Timone 11-09-2015, 06:25 PM What year was it when we were down like 20+ at Golden State and came back to win? 08?
Timone 11-09-2015, 06:43 PM Nice!
MikeMyers 11-09-2015, 06:52 PM This game will be emotional Fam. Lets pay them back for what they did to OUR LEBRON.
Vinny 11-09-2015, 07:19 PM Man. Such a matchup nightmare they are. What do we do if Curry just eats Reggie alive?
Timone 11-09-2015, 07:41 PM We're going to give Golden State a golden shower.
Timone 11-09-2015, 09:31 PM 1 hour.

Timone 11-09-2015, 10:48 PM We have them right where we want them.
Timone 11-09-2015, 10:54 PM Timeout defending CHUMPS.
Vinny 11-09-2015, 10:54 PM Let's roll, Mike and Mr. Oobir.
Shock the world.
Won't shock me, fam.
Vinny 11-09-2015, 10:57 PM Yeah, Reggie, eeeeeasy on the 3's.
Timone 11-09-2015, 10:59 PM They turn the ball over a lot.
Timone 11-09-2015, 11:01 PM Good foul, SJ.
Vinny 11-09-2015, 11:01 PM LOL @ Blake vs Steph.
Mr. Oobir 11-09-2015, 11:05 PM The Pistons reeealy need an actual PG off the bench.
Koolaid 11-09-2015, 11:05 PM Steve blake isn't doing anything my fat ass couldn't do. Guy needs to retire. He wasnt very good to begin with, now he's old on top of it. Why the fuck is he playing?
Koolaid 11-09-2015, 11:12 PM Also Marcus Morris is sheeds little brother or something. He plays just like him. It's pretty cool to see.
Vinny 11-09-2015, 11:16 PM DLN!
Vinny 11-09-2015, 11:23 PM Also Marcus Morris is sheeds little brother or something. He plays just like him. It's pretty cool to see.
Also just like Sheed: I used to hate it when he'd make a couple 3's first quarter because you just knew he'd keep bombing them away all game. Starting to shudder every time Morris makes one of his contested 18 footers.
Timone 11-09-2015, 11:27 PM Man, this game is going so much better than I thought it would.
Timone 11-09-2015, 11:27 PM Man, this game is going so much better than I thought it would.
Uhh, by "I" I really mean the rest of the world. I knew my Pistons would give them a game.
Vinny 11-10-2015, 12:15 AM Man, Reggie with those little scoops off the glass!
Timone 11-10-2015, 12:17 AM Might have a chance to cut it to 2 or 1 entering the 4th. Crazy.
Timone 11-10-2015, 12:17 AM 4. I'll take it.
Timone 11-10-2015, 12:29 AM Gave it a great effort, guys. We can hold our heads high.
Vinny 11-10-2015, 12:33 AM Reggie shouldn't be out there, this game's over.
Vinny 11-10-2015, 12:45 AM General Observations:
Baynes has stonehands.
Stanley's little floater is going to be a weapon but he needs to learn to finish strong if he's gonna keep anyone honest and let him use it.
Force-feeding Andre in the post the first few games is going to show dividends eventually but it'll be a while. He's showed things the last 2 days I haven't seen before including a couple actual good passes.
Tolliver is useless. I loved him as a play-hard mascot type but he's 13th man on a winner unless he remembers how to shoot.
I like that we went with the Johnson-Drummond-Morris frontcourt a lot tonight....but can see that morphing into more Johnson-Ilya-Drummond against slower teams, need Morris on the second team, they're clueless plus we have no real backup 3 OR 4 if Stanley starts getting more minutes...
I'm sure I sound like a Morris hater in all my posts lately, I'm not, I love that we have him but don't want him getting ahead of himself....
Mr. Oobir 11-10-2015, 12:56 AM Getting Brandon Jennings back in December should hopefully push Steve Blake out of the active lineup. This team really needs a good power forward, as Ilyasova doesn't cut it full time and Tolliver is, as Vinny wrote, useless. I don't know who's remotely available outside of maybe Markieff Morris.
If the Pistons' starting point guards would stop getting injured, that would be swell too.
Mr. Oobir 11-10-2015, 01:37 AM That last post is too negative. This team played the Warriors very well and held Steph Curry to his lowest point total of the season. If Reggie Jackson didn't get hurt and the Pistons' momentum didn't dry up, maybe it's a single-digit game at the end.
Glenn 11-10-2015, 06:14 AM The Pistons reeealy need an actual PG off the bench.

Koolaid 11-10-2015, 07:39 AM http://i67.tinypic.com/2e6h5r8.jpg
I would definitely take him over Blake.
MikeMyers 11-10-2015, 04:01 PM LOL@ Anthony Tolliver the Mascot
Glenn 11-10-2015, 05:06 PM Tolliver has always been a borderline scrub/specialist.
He steals money for the most part.
Vinny 11-10-2015, 10:18 PM LOL@ Anthony Tolliver the Mascot
Haha, that's how I think of him, he kind of looks like JYD and you can call him 'Tolly'.
