Detroit sent forward Caron Butler and Shawne Williams to Milwaukee in the trade. Those two players have non-guaranteed deals that will probably be waived, clearing significant salary cap space for the Bucks. Milwaukee could have as much as $22 million in cap space this summer.

Hoopshype says it's a team option, basketball reference says it's just only partially guaranteed, meaning they'd have to waive him and pay the guaranteed salary (which is only 400K).

But they didn't trade for him to waive him.
