BACHMAN WILLIAM A. (BILL) 94, passed away January 7. 2015. Bill was born January 21, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan to Jacob and C. Myrtle Bachman. He graduated from Denby High School and went to work for Michigan Bell Telephone Co. He enlisted in the Army through the company. He was very proud of his Service during WWII in the North African and European Theater with the Signal Corp. After his return from the war he married the love of his life, Elizabeth E. (Betty) Rittinger. They were married nearly 58 years. He continued to work for Michigan Bell and retired from service after 42 years in 1979. Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty (2003) and his son, William D. (Bill) Bachman (2005). He is survived by his daughter, Barbara; son, Jack; and grandchildren, Kyle and Kelsea. Arrangements by Brown and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209. Private Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 18th Street NW. Washington, D.C. 20006, Tidewell Hospice of Bradenton, 3355 26th Street W., Bradenton, FL 34205, or Meals on Wheels Plus of Bradenton, 811 23rd Ave. E, Bradenton, FL, 34208 would be greatly appreciated. BURNETT PATRICIA HILL, acclaimed artist and feminist, passed away on December 29, 2014. She is survived by her four children: William Hill Lange, Harry Albert Burnett III, Terrill Hill Burnett and Hillary Hill Burnett, and her grandchildren Honora, Delia and Lilana Burnett, Blaize and Aiden Wallace, and Thea, Marina and Remy Mayaud. She was equally noted for her portraiture and as a veteran feminist and political activist. Visitation at A. J. Loving father of Keith (Carol) Boman, Jill (David) Fons, Paul (Renee) Boman, Lisa (David) Baker and the late Linda Marie Boman. Dear brother of the late Virginia (Herm) Isenberg and Doris (John) Kopy. Proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He worked as a brick mason for over 45 years through the Bricklayers Union and at the Berkley Ice Arena as the midnight manager/zamboni driver. He also volunteered for both the Berkley Moms Club and Berkley Dads Club. He was devoted to his family, the Berkley community and Berkley Athletics.
