Following a summer of working out for NBA teams, former UCF star and Woodbridge resident Tristan Spurlock announced Friday that he will be playing for the Detroit Pistons during the NBA Summer League in Orlando.
“It feels great. I’m really blessed,” Spurlock said Friday morning. “I’m thankful for the opportunity.”

The Pistons are scrambling together their roster for the Orlando Pro Summer League, which begins next week. Peyton Siva will be there but with Dinwiddie recovering from Jan. 20 surgery to repair a torn left ACL, the Pistons will need a free-agent point guard, even though they just drafted a point guard. Summer league runs July 5-11.

WTH is Brian Cook doing playing in summer league? I wonder if it feels like one of those dreams where you're back in high school and you're failing all of your classes.

Summer league or not, KCP looks supremely confident out there. Taking it to the rack with authority and not afraid to shoot from outside. I'm buying.

Not very efficient at it, though... 27 ppg on <40% shooting?
