Another reason Canada beats the shit out of the US. In the US for every game they show a soldier, give him an ovation and play stupid cheesy music.

Tonight's their military or armed forces night. In Toronto these dudes have soldier's dropping from the rafters in full camoflouge, have a ticket donation event so that Canadian forces can go to the game and they give standing ovations to soldiers that become citizens and then fight.

Listening to games helps me with that too. Often I'll wait until the late-night replays of the Wings and Pistons for that reason. Blaha with his made-for-radio voice is awesome for that. You can close your eyes and enjoy listening to him. I would listen to games on the radio in bed as a little kid. Ernie was best of course but Bruce Martin for the Wings was pretty damn good too.
