I'm actually pretty bummed about this. This guy has been announcing Michigan games since before I was born. It won't be the same.

For all his idiocy outside the UM broadcasts, he calls a good game. He's the third major retiree announcement in the past few weeks at UM, to go along with equipment manager Jon Falk and media director Bruce Madej. All of these guys are old enough that alone it doesn't seem significant, but together makes one think one of two things.
Either A: Dave Brandon is a dick who is forcing people out
or B: the direction of the program under Hoke is so reminiscent of Bo that these guys who started their legendary careers at UM during the Bo era see it as time to step down and give those same opportunities they had years ago to another generation of behind-the-scenes Michigan Men.
