I will be looking at D Line and O Line play more this preseason than any other. If 'we' are going to do anything this year, we have to be a LOT better on the offensive side and lot better on the D line too.

Offense: #2 receiver. Edwards is more of a slot guy, unfortunately, that's been playing outside. It's hard to judge him out there, though, without 81 opposite drawing coverage.

Defense: Safety. Take away Delmas or Quin and I feel like it's #DONE for a loss. Sad thing, Quin has a hip.

On Don Carey: I'd have to watch a little more to see if he showed improvement, but I'm glad we added a little depth with DeJon Gomes, who has graded out to be very average over the course of his career so far... I consider that an upgrade over Carey at this point.

So is Edwards better than Willis? or Hillis? I thought he was the best receiver of the bunch. Made big plays.

I read about Gomes and it sounds like a good pick up. Agree.

Willis had made some great catches, I agree. But, he was playing against 2nd / 3rd stringers, is 29 years old, and has a track record of getting nothing accomplished outside of special teams tackling, which we can find easily elsewhere. Edwards has a lot more upside as a receiver, even potentially as a number two.
