Aldrich would be a very solid signing. i'd really like that. Collins? no thanks. I always thought he was too slow and clumsy. and more than that now, this team is too young to deal with the circus of media attention he'd bring with him.

i've always liked kaman, but would he have signed to play 5-10 minutes a night in only about 20-30 games? that's the role we have for our last roster spot and likely 3rd string C. can't imagine he'd want that role. and $3M is a ton to pay someone for that position on the bench. then again, we're playing CV a lot more and he's not really going to do jack for us...

I was never a fan of this guy and strictly as a player i'm not a fan of signing him now either. also, I think we can do without the media circus that is sure to follow any team signing him. this is a young, impressionable team and we don't need that media circus. we need to focus on getting better and learning how to win. I don't like the unnecessary distraction this would bring if we pursued him.

Apparently, they are looking for some younger options -- Collins is 34 -- to back up the Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond in the frontcourt. Collins could help give their young roster some more leadership, but he likely would have a tough time even cracking the rotation at this stage of his career.
