Gotta admit that I like it. I hate the NBA draft cuz I've never heard of half of these dipshitz before. Its fuckin stupid. And Stern is a egotistical piece of donkey cock.

I hate the company line that the Lions always get about how great their draft is (but we won't mention trading up to get so n so and he can't play anymore or none of that bullshit).

But back to the Pistons... "We" seem to have NOT drafted tweeners this year??? Help me out.

We drafted a 2 guard. A true SG afaict.

We drafted a anothger wing guy with size this time, a SF. Hope he can keep himself straight.

We drafted a PG. A true fuckin PG.

I like it.

I think Trey was overrated. Not saying he won't develop but I don't think he was slated to go this high before this last year but he had a great year and all of sudden he's supposed to go really fuckin high in the draft. He might pan out, but to say he is a lock is bullshit. I don't mind passing on him from what I know. It does seem like once we passed on him the next team picked him and traded him. So other teams must have felt like he was a lock to go to us. Wish we could have taken him and traded him for something.

So not trying to be a company line kinda guy but I like this draft right now.

I expect the PG from Louisville to get a ton of minutes by midseason. Like the 2 and 3 we picked and hope to get them in the mix with GMonroe and Dre.

Looking forward to next year.

Now fire JoeD. Go away Joe. C ya buddy. You did ur thing now get the fuck out of here. Retire.

Not a bad draft for the new owner's first draft.

Stuck is a FA after this year. So it was a decent move. I don't hate Pope's game overall I feel he has an NBA ready shooting game as a starter and can play some defense.
Still desperately need someone that can get into the paint and create offense, either from the SF or PG position. No clue what Detroit intends to do in FA, but I think this signals pretty hard they aren't chasing Iggy.
Fuck it Joe, go get Monta Ellis and Josh Smith, it'll be fun.

this was a surprisingly good draft. i expected some safe 2nd rounders who would be solid character guys who are smart players but who can't jump over an envelope. instead we got mitchell who many had tagged as a lottery pick not long ago. he has tons of athleticism and plays angry. with a strong coach like cheeks, i think he could really be something. at worst i think he's a super sub and someone who can get out on the break and threaten teams with his athleticism. also, he could be a guy who can hassle wing players like 'melo. in fact, he could eventually guard anyone from 2 guards to some 4's. he is that versatile and athletic. i'd love if he could develop into our starting SF but for now it looks like he'll backup at the 4 and slide over to play some 3.

siva is actually a guy i think will work his way onto the roster and possibly even the rotation if we lose bynum. he also has electric athleticism and SPEED- two things we sorely lack. he's not huge but he is tough as nails and a good defender/distributor.

KCP is a kerry kittle type player with the shooting range we need to space the floor. he's really good on the break too which we need to do more of- get out and run. he has a lot of potential defensively too. i don't like that he can't finish in traffic in the halfcourt but perhaps having monsters like drummond and monroe around will leave him a bit more space to operate. if not they can clean up his misses.

i wanted burke but i understand the logic of KCP. i find it hilarious that 'experts' like chad ford can say "he doesn't fit a need." really chad? who do we have at SG? exactly. nobody. we have no shooters either. he definitely fits a need and with his attitude and work ethic i think he'll get better and better.

very curious to see what we attempt to do in FA and the trade market. i hope we let these kids PLAY though.

Count me in as one who likes the draft as well. See a lot of Rip in KCP, maybe a little more athletic. No clue about the other guys yet but Mitchell has promise.

Hopefully a good draft in perfect timing with the resurrection of this board! Right Vinny?

body type, perhaps. but I think the common Kerry kittle comparison is more accurate. kittles had deep range and great lift on his shots and he was great in transition, up tempo situations. Rip definitely was not a deep shooter and was not very good in transition.

KCP is currently a much, much better shooter- and deep shooter- than rip ever was.

You're probably right. I just saw a lot of Rip's game with KCP coming off screens, but Kittles was great at that, too, and better than Rip from long range. So, again, you're probably right.

Also, I am wrong and have learned nothing.
