Glenn 05-12-2013, 07:11 AM That is funny. Did Grantland do that first with LeBron's inbox, maybe last year, or did someone else?
Vinny 05-12-2013, 10:41 AM It was QB related I think? Can't remember.
Cross 05-14-2013, 04:07 AM Drose is a huge pus for not coming back this year, especially considering he was medically cleared to return. But him returning for the Miami series would've been a stupid decision. The risk was simply too high if he were to suddenly come in and play at such an intense level. Imagine if he would've fucked his ACL or suffered another injury further sidelining him. Media would've been all over him and Tom Thibs dick. Realistically that Chicago team, no matter how good they are vs. Miami, would've lost the series anyways. By incorporating Rose back into the lineup vs Miami would've fucked up the team chemistry (even though they're offense looks like complete shit). And by team chemistry I meant Nate Robinson's play because he's arguably the reason why they beat Brooklyn. Rose coming back would've definitely fucked with Nate's head and confidence, in my opinion, but at the end of the day rose> Robinson. Damn I'm just rambling now.
I guess my point is if Drose even considered coming back this season, it would've/should've been in the regular season, not the day after they beat Brooklyn and definitely not at any point during the playoffs. He also should have ruled out coming back in the playoffs, instead of giving fans false hope as I'm sure the team/management knew he was not going to.
Tahoe 05-20-2013, 07:59 PM Good post but not sure why you say, a couple of times, that he shouldn't come back during the playoffs. Why do the playoffs make it less of reason to return. I think its MORE of a reason to return.
Cross 05-20-2013, 10:01 PM All the team chemistry that's built up, especially considering Nate and Bellinelli have never played a minute with Derrick Rose. I'm sure Thibs would've done a good job slowly easing Rose back into the lineup but that's what the regular season is for, not the playoffs. But then again that's a former MVP and easily the team's best player. plus imagine if he would've gotten hurt in the playoffs compared to the beginning of the next season. No one would blame the Chicago organization for his injury if he came back next season. EVERYONE would've came at the Bulls organization for putting too much pressure on him to return, if he would've fucked his knee up again in the playoffs and he'd probably never be the same or even worse, retire. I mean it's his career, obviously if the dude wanted to play, he would be out there. Just doesn't feel ready. Pussy
Uncle Mxy 05-21-2013, 07:50 AM Everyone who's ever been the league MVP is either in the HOF, or will be on the first ballot.
Derrick Rose is the first guy where I'm just not feelin' it for him being in the HOF.
