IMO the Kings would be better off using an assistant coach for the next 3 years as they build. No point paying big money for a guy to coach a crap team. Promote someone already on staff for the rest of the season and then give him a 2 year deal

This way you can save some cash as you build... and then hire a "known" coach to help them "take the next step"
