I agree with this. However that isn't a negative. Very often even a power rushing game will not do much in the first half. But teams will continue to pound knowing that eventually the defense is getting tired and that will open up the running game that much more. Obviously that's not the case with the Lions, and Chicago's lack of depth may have played as much a part in their fatigue. But if the Lions can wear teams out in the first half, however they do it, and then run the ball successfully in the second half, that's successful IMO.

It wasn't the Lions that wore them out though. They're spent this early in the season.
