ND's done pretty well against the run, I think they'll give Sparty all they can handle. Kelly might be coaching for his job next year.

I will conservatively say MSU -7.5. mainly because NBC and the media machine have too much invested in ND to be rational. Much like the UM charade.

The left side of the MSU line is still a little unsettled. Nontheless, MSU's offense is good enough and balanced enough to be quite effective. If ND's secondary plays like it did against UM, the game will get ugly. Rees is a good QB and ND's offense is not bad, but MSU's defense seems to be coming along nicely.

Personally, I think that MSU should beat them handily. Other than home field and a possible backs-against-the-wall mentality, MSU should have all the advantages here. I really enjoyed the UofM/ND game, but those were two very flawed (to be nice) teams.

I would have totally taken MSU and given the points before this game. Either ND needed a few weeks to come into its own or MSU is one of the bigger overrated pretenders in the country. And with the horrible play and coaching in this game, I've got to think it's the latter.

that team should have lost 5 games. this one probably will. the good news for sparty, when they play their rivalry game at the end of the season with indiana- you throw the records out the window.
