7 sounds right to me. i think we've already seen what this offense will look like: the pryor years at OSU. even if they try to replicate RR's offense, it wont be run as well.
the defense will be better. but probably not enough to compensate.
7-8 wins.

They'll be ranked next week. Not because beating EMU is significant, but because teams in the top 15-25 will lose and push us in by default.

Depends on the NW game for me (the first road game and a legit team, depending on Persa I guess).
I think they lose @MSU, @Iowa, vs Neb, vs OSU.
I'm saying 8-4. They still aren't good enough on defense to stop a good offense, even if Hoke maximizes Robinson.

we'll learn alot today about msu.
iowa lost a ton, think we'll have a chance vs them. neb and osu are probably both better teams than us right now, but i dont view those teams as unbeatable. iowa lust a ton, think we beat them.
this d still doesnt look great, but it does look average. we have holes, but also many playmakers. i said last year this defense could easily move up to top 50, think they will still.
mattison has been incredibly impressive. a little better health, and natural improvement explain it.

speaking of iowa, upset alert vs pit and staring down 0-2.

UM now ranked nationally, little brother and step-brother the convict, nowhere in sight.

I don't write them off against any team this year. Nobody looks dominant in the big ten (maybe Wisconsin or Nebraska are, but we won't know until their head to head game). At any rate they don't even play Wisconsin. PSU looks like garbage compared to the start of the year too. I watched the game with Temple and they have zero passing game. I'd consider the conference pretty wide open for the taking for everyone save Indiana, Purdue and Minnesota (though I think Iowa and PSU probably belong in that group based on the season so far).

If ESPN's BCS expert is to be believed, Michigan is at #9 in the BCS right now.
