You really can't make a bad choice.
Unless you are voting for one of them for President, that is.

Tahoe 08-16-2011, 08:03 PM What a fuckin joke. DrRay11 08-17-2011, 10:42 AM I think Mitt is the least crazy, followed by Ron. Hard to say who is the most. geerussell 08-17-2011, 01:45 PM I voted for Rick "Everything the federal government does is unconsitutional and oh let's hang Bernanke from the nearest tree" Perry. Crazy eyes does make it a close race though. Tahoe 08-17-2011, 07:25 PM Tribe UxKa 08-17-2011, 09:44 PM Tough call between Michele and Perry. I went Perry, because a while back he was all "Hey I'm takin my state and leavin' the union!" and now he wants to be prez. Yeah, let's elect a prez that doesn't believe in the concept of the United States. He wins just for trying to run after that charade. I got in an argument with my mom about that a couple weeks ago, cuz she's also batshit crazy right wing. Let me preface this by pointing out that this was about 30 minutes into a discussion about how Fox News is the least biased national news channel, and she wasn't aware that he talked about walking away from the US with Texas. "Well, you have to consider the context of why he said that." No I don't. I know he said he might take his state and leave instead of improving the situation he was unhappy with in our country. That's a pretty big hurdle to overcome in a prez race. Perry is the Dem's Repub nominee dream just for that IMO. It's self-evident that their suffering is the result of laziness and other personal shortcomings. Newt and Mitt are unprincipled, but not batshit. Uncle Mxy 01-04-2012, 06:13 AM Rick Santorum leading the anyone-but-Romney crowd... LOL. I think Palin would've won Iowa if she made a serious run for it. Glenn 01-19-2012, 03:24 PM Newt's got women issues. Ex wifey is chirping about him asking her for an open marriage. Glenn 01-19-2012, 03:24 PM Sanctity of marriage being what it is and whatnot. Glenn 01-19-2012, 03:48 PM And now Mittens has been caught hiding money in the Cayman Islands. Uncle Mxy 01-20-2012, 11:06 AM And now Mittens has been caught hiding money in the Cayman Islands. That's decidedly NOT batshit crazy. Batshit crazy would involve hiding money in Sarah Palin's mattress, or something like that. And everyone knows Newt wanted an open marriage so he could get his wife to sleep with Bill Clinton. Glenn 01-20-2012, 05:13 PM Romney skeered http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/01/20/1056740/-Report:-With-Mitt-Romney-refusing-to-commit,-NBC-yanks-Monday-debate-from-national-schedule?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+dailykos%2Findex+%28Daily+Kos %29 Uncle Mxy 01-23-2012, 02:57 PM I'm wondering if I'll somehow get to vote for Colbert in the Michigan primary, even though he's running for the President of the United States of South Carolina. There is a lot of porn that plays to that or at least to that kind of fantasy, but would he be able to discuss that versus what Rush did or certain conservative policies? Are they mutually exclusive? Honest questions. Glenn 04-10-2012, 02:05 PM Santorum out. Things just got slightly less batshitty crazy. Uncle Mxy 04-10-2012, 04:58 PM Will Newt again rise from the ashes? Will someone else come into the picture? As of yesterday, nearly 60% of Republicans didn't have Romney as their preferred candidate. Remember, Romney couldn't crack 60% in the Virginia primary with only Ron Paul on the ballot. Uncle Mxy 04-10-2012, 06:24 PM RALEIGH, NC—Following Rick Santorum's announcement Tuesday that he would end his bid for the Republican presidential nomination, candidate Newt Gingrich called upon frontrunner Mitt Romney to drop out of the race so the former House speaker could concentrate on the general election. "While I respect my challenger's right to fight through to the bitter end, the time has now come to unite behind one man so we can take back the White House in November," said Gingrich, addressing a crowd of 35 supporters at the Raleigh County Public Library. "My opponent should be congratulated on running a fine campaign. But I need him to swallow his pride, come back to reality, and tell all Republicans to throw their support behind Newt Gingrich as the next president of the United States." Gingrich noted that Romney's withdrawal would bolster Gingrich's fundraising efforts as he seeks to eliminate some of the $4.5 million in debt he has amassed thus far in his victorious campaign. Glenn 04-10-2012, 08:11 PM I'm thinking that Hunstman might still give it a run as a 3rd party candidate. If Santorum could have grabbed the nomination, I think Huntsman would have certainly tried via 3rd party. Uncle Mxy 04-14-2012, 09:15 AM Will Newt again rise from the ashes? He isn't running for Prez but he is bat shit crazy. Uncle Mxy 08-20-2012, 09:41 PM WTF is up with this Akin dude? He isn't running for Prez but he is bat shit crazy. Akin's just a straight shooter with upper management written all over him. LOL. Seriously, this shit falls squarely in the realm of optimistic bullshit about sex that a sex ed class is supposed to cure you of. It's in the same universe as "pulling out before you come is 100% safe". A depressing amount of people believe that bullshit, despite many Maury Povich episodes to the contrary. I can't see any reason that Akin drops out at this point. He can either lose now. or spend someone else's money and maybe not lose in November. I suspect the Missouri Republicans will have a riot on their hands trying to figure out who runs instead of Akin. Tahoe 08-20-2012, 10:28 PM ^ if reports are true, he's been completely cut off from funding other than his own...and rightfully so. Missouri has been polling Republican and then this dipshit comes up with that fuckin gem. Uncle Mxy 08-20-2012, 11:15 PM Similar shit happened to Christine "I'm not a witch" O'Donnell -- virtually no money from the normal Powers That Be -- and she still ended up with millions to run in a race she was virtually guaranteed to lose. Akin's a 6-term sitting congressman... he'll get cash. Uncle Mxy 08-21-2012, 07:49 AM Some people get hung up on Akin's use of the term "forcible" rape. as if there weren't any other kind. Obama just said "rape is rape" as a retort, for example. But statutory rape is a different beast from violent rape. Uncle Mxy 08-21-2012, 09:35 AM And the first poll after Akin's remarks show that it's a dead heat, same as it was before. http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2012/08/akin-44-mccaskill-43.html Tahoe 08-21-2012, 06:15 PM McCaskill must be a bigger tool than originally thought if she can't beat this ass hat. |
