View Full Version : Everything you need to know about Vernon Macklin Glenn 06-23-2011, 11:30 PM Who? Timone 06-23-2011, 11:31 PM I actually like this Timone 06-23-2011, 11:31 PM @vernon_macklin Glenn 06-23-2011, 11:33 PM @vernon_macklin Timone 06-23-2011, 11:33 PM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqbLPVnHDrA Fool 06-24-2011, 12:26 AM Loves his momma. Tahoe 06-24-2011, 01:40 AM ELTON BRAND! micknugget 06-24-2011, 05:57 AM Another undersized PF with no jump shot. Wasted pick (sigh) Uncle Mxy 06-24-2011, 08:17 AM Looks like he has Ben Wallace disease when it comes to FTs. Vinny 06-24-2011, 03:30 PM Poor man's Joel Anthony? Glenn 06-24-2011, 04:00 PM Wearing uniform #20. If he makes the team, that is. Uncle Mxy 06-24-2011, 05:51 PM 6 fouls Uncle Mxy 09-23-2011, 05:05 PM He played a game against Jimmer: http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/blogsjazznotes/52628337-62/points-rebounds-six-fredette.html.csp Glenn 06-29-2012, 09:25 AM Vince Ellis No qualifying offer for PF Vernon Macklin, thus he becomes an unrestricted free agent. Still on #Pistons summer league team. Damn. Uncle Mxy 06-29-2012, 03:24 PM My sense is that Macklin was deemed too stupid to make it out on the court. Pharaoh 06-29-2012, 11:47 PM I'm happy Macklin isn't going to be around The less big men we have the more chance for Drummond to play Monroe Maxiell Prince Stuckey Knight Drummond Jerebko Maggette Daye Bynum Big Ben Middleton English Nova Singler 15 contracts - unless we amnesty Nova or send one of the 2nd rounders overseas... and this is without us using the MLE Uncle Mxy 06-30-2012, 04:45 AM You're assuming Big Ben returns. I wouldn't necessarily assume that. Without Big Ben Macklin, I only count 2 guys you could sanely play at C out of 15, and our dream is to have them play together. Macklin _seems_ like a serviceable C in limited minutes. Pharaoh 06-30-2012, 06:41 AM Assuming Big Ben doesn't return then yes it's a bit foolish to lose Macklin Higherwarrior 07-01-2012, 12:50 AM don't sleep on one of our summer league additions- yancy gates, the center from cincinnati. he got in some trouble with the brawl earlier this season. but he seemed like he matured from that. and from what i saw in the postseason he looks like a guy who could make an nba roster. he's got a legitimate post game and very good size. i'd say he's a poor man's dejaun blair. or somewhere between him and big baby. not the same player, but similar skill set. Koolaid 07-01-2012, 02:11 AM don't sleep on one of our summer league additions- yancy gates, the center from cincinnati. he got in some trouble with the brawl earlier this season. but he seemed like he matured from that. and from what i saw in the postseason he looks like a guy who could make an nba roster. he's got a legitimate post game and very good size. i'd say he's a poor man's dejaun blair. or somewhere between him and big baby. not the same player, but similar skill set. he also looks like a bit like the old big ben. Higherwarrior 07-01-2012, 07:30 PM well he's a legit 6-9 and about 280 i think. so they don't have the same physique really. and that's the only real comparison i could possibly see. because as far as their game on the court goes, gates has a legit post game- a good one, in fact- and he is a decent FT shooter. so there's no comparison there! ;) Glenn 08-08-2012, 06:20 AM http://www.hoopsworld.com/agent-macklin-drawing-significant-interest Vinny 08-09-2012, 12:44 AM LAWL.
