b-diddy 05-02-2011, 10:21 PM fuck inge. 0-3. no power. his "play" in the 9th is gonna get changed to an error. an error that probably costs us the game.
high tide, i couldnt stand the guy. but he's flat out terrible now. no upside.
im frustrated over mags as well, but atleast with him you can hope he ragains his form. inge is an awful contact hitter, with no power, and his defense is officially below average now. he's arguably worse than neverhitt last year.
also, not sure what santiago has to do to get into the regular rotation. we have nothing at 2nd but him and leyland refuses to play him 2 times in a week.
also, they had an awesome display comparing granderson's swing this year and last. night and day how much NY has cleaned it up. watching his swing from last year, you'd have thought the tigers didnt have a hitting coach while curtis was here.
i've always hated the tigers uber aggressive batting strategy, but watching that and it appears theres plenty more to gripe about.

b-diddy 05-02-2011, 10:33 PM inge is 10th worst ops of all everyday players in the mlb. 1/2 the guys below him are in severe slumps. in a month, he'll likely be among the 5 worst. i think 5 worst batters in the AL would be a fair assessment.
of course, the guys who have that bad of bats usually are atleast + gloves. inge is hurting us there, too.
the only good thing that his sucktitude is so great that DD has no choice, and inge will finally be forced out. if we can get wright from the mets, get er done.
Timone 05-02-2011, 10:36 PM Don't think I watched more than a minute of this.
DrRay11 05-02-2011, 10:51 PM I could go to the Yanks/Tigs game with my dad on wednesday, but I think I'm just going to suggest we stay home...
Vinny 05-02-2011, 11:38 PM Was it from 2 years ago? Granderson was on the Yankees last year.
Vinny 05-02-2011, 11:50 PM Sizemore didn't play for Toledo tonight, move coming?
Vinny 05-02-2011, 11:52 PM Guess so, I just looked. Rhymes out, Sizemore in. Victor is also on rehab in Toledo, should be back this week.
b-diddy 05-03-2011, 12:01 AM Was it from 2 years ago? Granderson was on the Yankees last year.
it was 2010 and 2011, but i think the implication is that it took them some time to clean up his swing. i cant overstate this. he's got arod swing up there, before it he was just an absolute mess.
to me it was far more of an indictment on the tiger's coaches than the fact that no one is willing to draw a walk on this team, and pitchers sometimes take 60 throws to get through 9 innings on us.
Vinny 05-03-2011, 02:32 AM I think you're forgetting how well Granderson hit for the Tigers for the most part. He's definitely been hitting lefties so far this year though, which has never really happened before.

lefties!
b-diddy 05-03-2011, 10:00 AM I think you're forgetting how well Granderson hit for the Tigers for the most part. He's definitely been hitting lefties so far this year though, which has never really happened before.
yea, but he seemed to get worse as a batter, not better. his ops for this year is 40 pts higher than granderson's best year in detroit (2007, where he was top 10 al-mvp voting, i believe). and right now hes only hitting 272. i expect him that number to rise.
i viewed the granderson trade, which i still like, was us giving up on him as a guy who had peaked and was in decline. turns out, he wasnt the problem.
Tahoe 05-03-2011, 07:26 PM SIZEMORE! BION, Vinny, I'm pulling for him.
Timone 05-03-2011, 07:30 PM More is NOT less.
Timone 05-03-2011, 08:42 PM Got damn, Miguel hammered that one. If this was Yankees Stadium...
Vinny 05-03-2011, 08:50 PM Holy shit, even Magglio's got a hit.
DrRay11 05-03-2011, 08:50 PM If this was Yankee Stadium, Cabrera would be about tied with Bonds already.
DrRay11 05-03-2011, 08:50 PM Holy shit, even Magglio's got a hit.
lol, he's still lost. basically threw the bat at the ball.
Timone 05-03-2011, 08:51 PM If this was Yankee Stadium, Cabrera would be about tied with Bonds already.
lol, word. I can't dislike that park enough.
Vinny 05-03-2011, 08:53 PM If this was Yankee Stadium, Cabrera would be about tied with Bonds already.
"Cough" or at least granderson "cough".
Timone 05-03-2011, 08:53 PM C.C. is a gay homo. I throw the C.C. in river.
b-diddy 05-04-2011, 11:51 AM sounds like the bopper is going to be in the 3 hole tonight, victor is back and 5th, mags demoted to 6th.
part of me likes it, part of me thinks boesch is gonna shit himself batting 3rd.
DrRay11 05-04-2011, 12:05 PM I hope not. That's #MyTiger
b-diddy 05-04-2011, 12:42 PM i hate that im always ragging on mags, but if nothing else, atleast boesch isnt going to be constantly grounding into dps in front of cabrerra.
Vinny 05-04-2011, 01:08 PM If Avila can keep producing, this offense doesn't look half bad all of a sudden....Not necessarily half good either but you gotta take what you can get...
Timone 05-04-2011, 08:34 PM I will take an average offense at this point.
4-0 Tigers
Timone 05-04-2011, 08:39 PM Freddy is a joke. Didn't he pwn "us" a couple seasons ago with the Sox?
Timone 05-04-2011, 08:46 PM Scherzer wheeling and dealing like the Nature Boy. Wooooooo!!!!!
Glenn 05-04-2011, 08:49 PM Stylin and profilin.
Timone 05-04-2011, 08:56 PM If Scherzer is Ric Flair, Awful Jackson is Paul Roma.
(nobody is going to get that one)
b-diddy 05-04-2011, 11:50 PM i didnt get that.
b-diddy 05-05-2011, 12:50 AM mags' dinger is nice. i like him alot in the 6 spot, even if he returns to form, just because i know his bat might get better but his speed wont, and he'll always hit into too many dps to bat in front of big mig. if bopper stays like this, he's ideal for 3rd, otherwise, gayburn. i dont know if this is possible, but i'd like to see santiago get a shot at 3rd. broken record about him getting more pt, but he couldnt possibly worse than inge.
our batting order is interesting. it seems like, we could field a very strong 1-9 lineup, but just as easily go back to miggy and the mudhens.
big mig's ops is 1100+ right now, btw. siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick.
DrRay11 05-05-2011, 10:10 AM "He couldn't possibly be worse than Inge."
-word.
Went to the game last night, it was pretty fun.
b-diddy 05-05-2011, 02:27 PM boesch is 2 for 2 in productive at bats. had an rbi sac in the first, got on base on a throwing error. not watching, but i assume his speed helped.
also taking a ton of pitches.
Timone 05-05-2011, 02:29 PM Hey guys, Burnett has a no hitter going!
DrRay11 05-05-2011, 02:54 PM That's #MyTiger
DrRay11 05-05-2011, 03:13 PM RA-BIES! RA-BIES! RA-BIES!
Timone 05-05-2011, 03:15 PM WANKEES SUCK, WANKEES SUCK
DrRay11 05-05-2011, 03:15 PM Man, Burnett is a huge faggot.
Timone 05-05-2011, 03:17 PM I'VE BEEN TELLING Y'ALL NOT TO GIVE UP ON THIS TEAM
Timone 05-05-2011, 03:23 PM lol
DrRay11 05-05-2011, 03:23 PM lul
b-diddy 05-05-2011, 03:30 PM 3 game winning streaks are better than 7 game losing streaks.
DrRay11 05-05-2011, 03:33 PM 3 game winning streaks are better than 7 game losing streaks.
Yeah, right now we only have one of the two.
Timone 05-05-2011, 03:35 PM Also better than 3-game losing streaks. LOL @ the Wankees!!
b-diddy 05-05-2011, 03:37 PM is anyone watching this? watching gamecast on espn makes it look like the ump is squeezing schlereth.
DrRay11 05-05-2011, 03:40 PM yeah, watching. a couple questionable ones but they were right on the border
Timone 05-05-2011, 03:42 PM I really hate that bitch from the McDonalds sweet tea commercial, you guys.
Timone 05-05-2011, 03:44 PM Ahhvila
b-diddy 05-05-2011, 03:45 PM gamecast had 4 pitches that were in the middle of the strike zone called balls. never sure how accurate that thing is.
Timone 05-05-2011, 03:46 PM Avila has some sweet genes. His goatee is pretty cool
DrRay11 05-05-2011, 03:52 PM Valverde is a fatass
Glenn 05-05-2011, 03:59 PM yeah, watching. a couple questionable ones but they were right on the border
