Timone 04-04-2011, 03:27 PM Baltimore used to be a great baseball town. I wish them well this year, but not weller than OUR Tigers. Timone 04-04-2011, 03:37 PM With Baltimore's NFL team being complete shit, they have to have something good in their sports world right? Timone 04-04-2011, 03:39 PM What a fucking cheap run. b-diddy 04-04-2011, 03:47 PM gaylix gayvila? b-diddy 04-04-2011, 03:47 PM rhyme time b-diddy 04-04-2011, 03:51 PM magglio has rickshaw speed. Timone 04-04-2011, 03:53 PM Yeah, I could've legged that out. Ichiro probably would've been on 2nd base. Glenn 04-04-2011, 05:44 PM Well, wasn't that special. #fml Wilfredo Ledezma 04-04-2011, 07:17 PM Orioles have now allowed 4 runs in 4 games. Even with such a small sample, that's pretty damn amazing. Especially when you consider their best pitcher (Matusz) hasn't pitched yet and 3 of the 4 starters have less than one full year of MLB service time. Timone 04-06-2011, 05:48 PM Must win today? Tahoe 04-06-2011, 05:51 PM Not yet. I saw the starting lineup earlier and it w___ be a win. <--ends in L L, not n't. I don't want an infraction from Vinster so I disguised that ^. Timone 04-06-2011, 06:24 PM Rod looks fuggin' hilarious without glasses. Tahoe 04-06-2011, 07:36 PM I SEE YOU ALEX! Tahoe 04-06-2011, 07:36 PM THAT BOY COUNTRY STRONG! Timone 04-06-2011, 07:47 PM It's an offensive explosion! Tahoe 04-06-2011, 07:50 PM We need someone to get hot to carry us through the first part of the season...beside Miggy. Maglio would be nice...and Boesch. Timone 04-06-2011, 07:59 PM The Tigers seem to have no problems doing well in the first half. Tahoe 04-06-2011, 08:01 PM Yeah, true. But a few years ago it seems like they'd dig a hole that would be hard to overcome. Just stay close bizatches. Tahoe 04-06-2011, 08:13 PM Who was on when Avilla went yard? I guess I should just go look it up. Tahoe 04-06-2011, 08:17 PM VMart DrRay11 04-06-2011, 08:37 PM I'm liking these hot girls in the commercials. Timone 04-06-2011, 09:13 PM I'm liking these hot girls in the commercials. Like the one I just saw. They need to start showing names, ya know? b-diddy 04-06-2011, 09:23 PM might want to find some more ABs for gayburn. him and santiago seem to be the red headed step children of leyland's crew... although i guess RR's defense is partly to blame. if mags is hurt i'd rather have ryan play till he's healthy. because mags hitting a single every 6th at bat isnt helping the team. i dont have a vendetta against mags. Tahoe 04-06-2011, 09:25 PM An insurance run would be nice here. b-diddy 04-06-2011, 09:25 PM M avila P? Timone 04-06-2011, 09:27 PM Streak killers. b-diddy 04-06-2011, 09:37 PM let jv take us home. Tahoe 04-06-2011, 09:55 PM Peralta with great range for out number 1. b-diddy 04-06-2011, 09:56 PM didnt think peralta had a chance on that one. b-diddy 04-06-2011, 09:58 PM oriole broadcasters killing benoit for pitching so slow. gotta agree with him. makes fernando rodney look like a speedster. he's thrown some good pitches though. DrRay11 04-07-2011, 08:35 PM go 'head on, now, Alex. go 'head on. #TwoYearsAgoRod Tahoe 04-07-2011, 08:39 PM Danny scores! #mytiger Timone 04-07-2011, 08:42 PM Danny does that a lot. #pussmagnet Timone 04-07-2011, 09:13 PM Brad Penny Marshall is not my Tiger. b-diddy 04-07-2011, 10:05 PM ill just go on record and say i am not and never have been on board with taking coke out of the bullpen. Vinny 04-07-2011, 10:38 PM I think you've gotta take a chance on it, if only because a solid starter who can go 6 most starts is just a whole lot more valuable than a one inning reliever unless he's just a lights out type. I had the same reaction you did at first but I didn't realize that Coke always had been a starter until he was thrown into the Yanks bullpen out of need. Hope it works out, worst case is he goes back to the bullpen and we're stuck searching for a starter again. That's fair risk I think. b-diddy 04-07-2011, 11:06 PM maybe, but i think the best teams always have the best bullpens. right now ours is terrible. Tahoe 04-07-2011, 11:20 PM I think you've gotta take a chance on it, if only because a solid starter who can go 6 most starts is just a whole lot more valuable than a one inning reliever unless he's just a lights out type. Hope it works out, worst case is he goes back to the bullpen and we're stuck searching for a starter again. That's fair risk I think. Couldn't we have kept Galaraga in the rotat' and kept Coke in the pen? Or did we trade Galaraga for someone? Vinny 04-07-2011, 11:31 PM Couldn't we have kept Galaraga in the rotat' and kept Coke in the pen? Or did we trade Galaraga for someone? We were really desperate for a lefty in the rotation, Coke is the only one we have. I think Penny was considered Armando's replacement but that's clearly not working out very well. I was rooting for Armando-Mania like crazy, but truth is outside of that one infamous start....he just wasn't very good. 4.78 ERA, only 71 K's in 135 IP. Vinny 04-07-2011, 11:40 PM We'll see how it works out but I can see the some of the logic of how they fit the puzzle together under a limited budget....can't afford a better lefty starter so move Coke over to fill that hole...Schlereth appeared capable of moving up and filling that power lefty role in the bullpen...I think they felt that Galarraga didn't have much upside left so trade him before the shine wears completely off and take a flyer on Penny to fill the 5th slot. They gave alot of money to Benoit to solidify the bullpen though, maybe too much... b-diddy 04-08-2011, 09:21 AM almost afraid to ask, but wheres zoom zoom? b-diddy 04-08-2011, 09:25 AM dl, i guess. so is perry. schlereth might be good after some seasoning, but he's not had a good start. i'd much rather have a platoon as 5th starter, and let coke calm down the pen. it wont be good for verlander's pysche if the pen costs him wins. DrRay11 04-08-2011, 11:37 AM I guess zumaya has started some light throwing, according to my dad. Tahoe 04-08-2011, 01:23 PM We'll see how it works out but I can see the some of the logic of how they fit the puzzle together under a limited budget....can't afford a better lefty starter so move Coke over to fill that hole...Schlereth appeared capable of moving up and filling that power lefty role in the bullpen...I think they felt that Galarraga didn't have much upside left so trade him before the shine wears completely off and take a flyer on Penny to fill the 5th slot. They gave alot of money to Benoit to solidify the bullpen though, maybe too much... I've never smelled what he was cookin. I still don't. Glenn 04-08-2011, 01:26 PM He can invite his sis over tho. Vinny 04-08-2011, 01:42 PM Did I miss him getting rocked or something? I thought he was so far so good. Tahoe 04-08-2011, 01:43 PM He didn't seem overpowering to me last year. |
