Poll shows approval lower than Granny's and Virg would win a re-vote.

Snyder's doing some of the right things and some of the wrong things.

I'm really curious to see how the emergency manager powers play out.

I bet the Republican pensioners who voted for him are furious.

He doesn't need to be popular right now, he needs to be effective. Competence at implementing policies, whether good or bad, can get you re-elected at least once.

This is one of those cases where I'm on the side of our Republican congresscritters:


Lane and Schuitmaker were among those advocating for a unified system across the state. Cox suggested she'll continue to look at how the issue is handled. She expressed concern about universities using administrative investigations to handle rape reports.

"I have a bit of angst … about how the universities can address it themselves. It's a crime."

Rapes belong with the real cops, not campus ninnies (short for nincompoops).

I didn't anticipate that the "emergency manager" law and the "split the DNR and DEQ" business (Snyder's first act as governor) would combine to kick Snyder in the nuts.
That's really what's turned Flint's problems into Snyder's problems.

Smaller government sounds great to a lot of folks until it doesn't.

Snyder is the worst governor we've had BUT the people in Michigan are dumb as fuck. They deserve the destruction. He came in and destroyed the working class (The idiots who voted for him) and gave all these huge tax breaks to the rich yet the same idiots who voted for him ($10 hour with no benefits), think he's doing a great job. In China, Snyder probably would have been hung. In Michigan, "Lets not point fingers and lets work together to come up with a solution". This coming after he poisoned a whole city and the water still sucks. Michigan deserves what they get.

What Snyder did here was "big government" stuff -- taking over cities, making more government organizations.
