the only problem with the success of this season is the fear of early departure. we discussed this somewhat in the iltmbttt thread, but i think this deserves its own discussion, especially with tourney season upon us.

the only news ive read is morris saying everyone is coming back a few weeks ago, but i put zero credence in that talk. if anyone gets in these guys ears saying theyre first rounders, i expect them to leave.

my rating is 0-10, 0 being no chance he'll leave, 10 being good as gone. i think 5 michigan players have pro basketball pulses.

#1: hardaway. i've gone from not worried at all to pretty freaked. he plays like he has the last few weeks in the tourney, michigan will make some noise, but he gone. RATING: 8

#2: morris. more nba chatter about him than hardaway, but thats a little foolish to me. i think he has a nba future, but i think hardaway could be a first rounder this year, not true of morris. RATING: 3

#3: horford. whats that you say? jon horrford? guy has an nba body and pedigree. clearly still growing into it, but i think he's just a late bloomer. if he left this year it would be a laugh out loud mistake though RATING: 1

#4: smortrycz. dont think his cielling is as high as horford's, but he was a very high recruit.RATING: 1

#5: morgan. only hope he ever has of making it to the league is adding a ton of skill to his game. not impossible but he's pretty much a lock to be a 4 year starter here.RATING: 0

Hardaway's dad is a real wild card here. May give him advise to leave, may tell him he need not go. I think he'd still be destined for Europe after this season, he misses a lot of shots and doesn't have an NBA body to play the 2 guard.

sr is broke. obama tried to take his seven figure house over a 100k lien, but the heat bought it from him so he wouldnt be on the street. anyone remember his broadcasting career? lol.

hope ^thats not a factor.

not to turn this into a tim hardaway sr thread, but does anyone think beilein had to assure him that michigan had the straightest roster in the big ten?

Just read a NBADraft.net piece in which Morris' brother says that the plan is to "test the waters" but not sign an agent.

no chatter about hardaway. he still could jump, i guess, but not too concerned. then again, at this point did anyone have marcus taylor going?

the two teams i would have thought my give morris a first round promise are the heat and the lakers. neither have first rounders, so thats good. late firsts dont seem that hard to get, but atleast there is one more if in their promise, should they make one.

I don't think he has an "NBA body"
