View Full Version : OGT: 2011 Tigers Spring Training Glenn 02-27-2011, 10:38 AM Radio today. 1 pm vs. Toronto. Not sure if FSD has it too, or not. Timone 02-27-2011, 10:41 AM Nope. Timone 02-27-2011, 11:31 AM Even though I don't see the team making the playoffs, I'm actually looking forward to the season. I usually don't get excited for baseball, either. Tahoe 03-01-2011, 11:02 PM I have to wait for regular season afaict. DirecTV doesn't start beaming, streaming or something til opening day. Vinny 03-03-2011, 01:23 PM on ESPN. Timone 03-03-2011, 01:25 PM A convo between Alan Thicke and Bobby Valentine would be pretty annoying. Vinny 03-03-2011, 01:39 PM Boesch just hammered one. DrRay11 03-03-2011, 01:40 PM So is he done hitting for the year, then? Vinny 03-03-2011, 01:45 PM Bustah steps up to the plate....Ajax on second. Vinny 03-03-2011, 01:46 PM FUCK YOU JURRJENS! GO BACK TO DUTCHANY! ATTABOY BUSTAH! MY TIGAH! Timone 03-03-2011, 01:47 PM "Brennan" is the broest name ever. Timone 03-03-2011, 02:10 PM #TIGERBLOOD IN MY VEINS DrRay11 03-03-2011, 02:15 PM ^nice Wilfredo Ledezma 03-06-2011, 03:27 PM If the season started today, I would guess the Opening Day roster would look like this... C - Avila 1B - Cabrera 2B - Sizemore SS - Peralta 3B - Inge LF - Raburn CF - Jackson RF - Ordonez DH - Martinez Bn - Kelly Bn - Santiago Bn - C. Thomas Bn - Dirks SP - Verlander SP - Scherzer SP - Porcello SP - Coke SP - Penny RP - Brad Thomas RP - Robbie Weinhardt RP - Fu-Te Ni (either him or Enrique Gonzalez) RP - Joel Zumaya RP - Ryan Perry SU - Joaquin Benoit CL - Jose Valverde DL - Carlos Guillen AAA/AA Brennan Boesch Casper Wells Will Rhymes Andy Oliver Danny Worth Charlie Furbush Duane Below Al Alburquerque Daniel Schlereth Fu-Te Ni Adam Wilk Brayan Villarreal Cale Iorg Audy Ciriaco Jose Ortega Jacob Turner Zach Simons Lester Oliveros Omir Santos Hermy 03-06-2011, 03:50 PM who is your 6th starter there? Vinny 03-06-2011, 05:01 PM Brad Thomas or Charlie Furbush ("Furbush"? Really?) I'd imagine. Yuk. I hope they don't reach for Oliver too soon again, give him a good 3 months at AAA before thinking about it. Wilfredo Ledezma 03-07-2011, 08:02 PM I think it will be Oliver. Keep in mind he's almost 4 years older than Jacob Turner, so it's not like he has much more to prove in AAA. Hopefully we won't need a 6th starter til' late-May. By then, Oliver should have enough AAA innings to warrant a call-up/spot start. Fubursh is another option, but he hasn't pitched as well as Oliver so far this spring. Vinny 03-07-2011, 08:11 PM I just hope they learned their lesson from Bondo and Porcello and about 10 other guys the last 10 years. DrRay11 03-07-2011, 08:35 PM lol. Zumaya already done after he "broke" the "scar tissue?" Timone 03-07-2011, 08:38 PM You'd think they would prohibit him from playing Guitar Hero already. Sheesh. Tahoe 03-07-2011, 08:45 PM lol. Zumaya already done after he "broke" the "scar tissue?" Can't wait for Illitch to buy the Pistons and have Arnie get on this broken down mofo. DrRay11 03-07-2011, 08:48 PM going for a 2nd opinion, why i posted but yeah, Arnie needs cloned Glenn 03-07-2011, 09:28 PM it's all alpaca blood, roots & sticks WTFchris 03-08-2011, 02:30 PM I thought Schlereth would be a primary lefty now that Coke is starting. Unless Fu Te Ni makes the team you have only Thomas as a lefty in the bullpen. With Coke being the only lefty starter you'd think the bullpen would be equipped to handle that slanted rotation. Vinny 03-08-2011, 03:19 PM Schlereth can show any control, he should be able to make the team. His numbers were inflated by some bad luck last year, I still hope for some good things out of him. Tahoe 03-08-2011, 03:43 PM ^ I hope so, but I cringed when he came into a close game last year. Glenn 03-22-2011, 09:15 AM Sizemore, Weinhardt optioned to Toledo; Tigers roster taking shape http://sbn.to/hOF7ad Timone 03-22-2011, 10:12 AM Was Sizemore fagbreath to Tahoe or was that Everett? DrRay11 03-22-2011, 11:42 AM Everett. Definitely fagbreath Everett. Glenn 03-22-2011, 11:43 AM @beckjason: Leyland: Rhymes is the 2nd baseman to start out. Tahoe 03-22-2011, 08:40 PM DrRay is correct. Sizemore was douche nozzle, I think. I wonder what Vinny thinks of Sizemore being... Vinny 03-22-2011, 10:24 PM Makes no sense. I hope Rhymes does well but Sizemore had a better spring and is finally healthy. I'd expect Sizemore back by mid-may. |
