Faux News is cancelling The Glenn Beck Program.

They must think he's too liberal.

I'm not so sure Fox cancelled it. They are sending one of their better producers to help with his new show or whatever.

They've been negotiating this for quite a while.

But I could be wrong.

Just like when that pizza place I worked for during college "sent me" to help the company I got my first real job with.

He's going to produce shows for them.

He's going to produce shows for them.

Let me guess, because he just doesn't feel like having his own show anymore?

I don't know.

He has more viewers than any show on MSNBC and most of CNN too, iirc. So I'm not sure. When you are on the best Network, Fox, its a pretty high bar.

Fox would be dumb to completely burn that bridge, but they aren't renewing his contract. This isn't a positive move in the relationship outside of it curtailing a sort of big headed flame out like what happened to Gla's boi.

I stopped watching Beck and then when all the craziness started, I started watching here and there, surfing.

So he did make some points, imo. I didn't know there were so many Socialist Organizations in this country. He put up the websites (and I even double checked they were there so Chris couldn't say Fox Lies). He also put up Communist websites, etc. I really didn't realize all that.

Then he match paragraphs and stuff and that was kind of interesting. He put up Trumpka's statements and matched them up. Kinda scary.

He did quite a bit on 'spooky dude' George Soros. He wants a one world Gov't. Soros wants US wealth spread to all nations. And he showed how Soros has a friend in the WH. Fuckin Commie Pinko.

But in the end, I felt like I was watching the final episode of 'Lost'. He didn't, or couldn't, wrap it all up in bow.

He has lotsa conspiracy theories. Gets a lil crazy, but then I read some uber liberal sites and talk about conspiracy theories....holy shit. The left is full of them.

I also don't get how the left is sooooooo fearful of Christianity. I mean serious, scaredy cats. He went into that.

But like I said, he never wraps anything up. Throws all this stuff out there, which in parts are true, but can't really put it all together.

Thats all I have to say about that.

Part of the problem is that big advertisers did bail on the show. He had the viewership, but some of the biggies wouldn't advertise on his show.

I'm not saying this was an upward move. It's just as you say, Fox didn't burn the bridge and are prolly smart not to.

There are tons of Socialist organizations everywhere but you have to distinguish between socialist economic policies and groups that just want to end the death penalty and stuff.

Yeah, that's the real issue that lead to the departure, I'm sure. If he was Mr. Non-controversial and pulled in the ratings he was pulling (even the current ones which are far below his peak) he'd be on the channel still. But he gets his ratings by being controversial and has to be more controversial to get a smaller audience now that the economy doesn't look like it's about to meltdown each and every day. That makes him less profitable in terms of straight dollars and in terms of risk/reward. Hence, moving on.

There is a long and honorable history of socialism in America. E.V. Debs, Powers Hapgood, Emma Goldman, Big Bill Haywood, Mark Twain, Bertrand Russell, Woodie Guthrie, Saul Bellow, Marshall Berman, Helen Keller, Erich Fromm, Ernest Hemingway, Albert Einstein, Stephen Jay Gould, Edward Bellamy, and so many more. I'd say E.V. Debs is the very best of them - a deeply moral man.

Why join a socialist org when you can oppose the death penalty as a Dem or Rep.

Christians are always declaring today THE day as an excuse to do stupid shit. I'm shocked that Beck deciding not to eat didn't lead Cruz to the presidency.
