this is bad. i really hope it doesnt end with him being traded but im thinking thats where this is headed.

I don't think there's any way they trade him. He's the centerpiece of the franchise (he and Verlander) and one of the two or three best hitters in all of baseball.

I'm so down on this. I hope it's an isolated incident and he can get back to last year's form.

trading him seems unimaginable, and to do a trade that would benefit the franchise would take a long time to put together.

the timing on this is awful. but the reason i think they ultimately have to trade him is because, if the rumors are true, drinking has been chronic issue with him since he's been here, and just not reported. this particular instance seems really bad.

Dombrowski's in the last year of his contract, so he's not going to do anything that could potentially influence the win column. Slap on the wrist and move on.
