I'd trade it for a buried prospect.

I'd trade it for a buried prospect.

Not trying to be a dick, but why?

If we can actually draft a guy around #10 with comparable value to Monroe, for example, why not?

I just don't have any faith in this draft and provided a dude is buried due to circumstances, he could blow up here.

Sure they do.

We'd be better served seeing what prospects are available at the time

AND

Seeing if we can't deal the pick with Rip for something that fits long term.

To move it prior to the day is foolish IMO

If you move it for a piece that can help immediately you simultaneously improve and reduce the value of that pick. You can get a steal by moving it in advance, IMO.

Would you flip our pick to the Knicks for Anthony Randolph?

If it helps a Melo deal get done, that kills Rip to NJ.

Yep.
I'm really high on Randolph.

A big man core of Monroe/Randolph/Villanueva could take us places.

The kid is 21. Our pick is at #8 right now, but the more games we win the worse that pick becomes. I am fairly certain that Randolph would go higher than #8 in this draft.

i dont know, he cant even get on the floor for NY...its not like Dantoni runs a difficult offense or puts any emphasis on defense, and he still cant get on the court for the Knicks, when they play a SF like Chandler at PF

D'Antoni only plays 5-6 guys that get significant minutes.
Chandler/Stoudemire/Fields/Felton/Gallinari/Douglas and then...the rest.
He's notorious for having short rotations.
