View Full Version : Republican candidates for Prez Tahoe 01-12-2011, 03:30 PM Anyone who has watched Pawlenty lately and thinks he isn't going to run, is nutz. Glenn 01-12-2011, 03:33 PM I want Bachmann to run, lolz. Tahoe 01-12-2011, 03:35 PM You know I saw an interview with her and she speaks very slowly but she isn't Palin'esque at all. Timone 01-12-2011, 03:39 PM I want Bachmann to run, lolz. http://www.digitalsportscene.com/forum/images/smilies/bacon.gif Glenn 01-12-2011, 03:50 PM You know I saw an interview with her and she speaks very slowly but she isn't Palin'esque at all. I don't think there's much going on in her head. She seems to just spit back memorized sound bytes. I always picture a deer in headlights when I see her speak. No disrespect. Tahoe 01-12-2011, 03:55 PM I thought the same thing till I listened to her a few times. Not that it would change everyones mind, but she was quick on her feet with facts about the economy, etc, imo, in a live debate. She sounds slow, but she's not bad. Presidential? Thats prolly a stretch. And I loved that interview with Mathews when she just blew off his questions and just said what she wanted and ended with "sorry, this election doesn't give you that tingle...." Fool 01-12-2011, 04:03 PM Tahoe. Tahoe 01-12-2011, 10:44 PM Goodbye Sarah, Goodbye! You have to sing that to Goodbye Charlie. WTFchris 01-13-2011, 02:57 PM Bachman is about as big a train wreck as Palin. I would love either to win the nomination. Romney might be their best bet though. Tahoe 01-13-2011, 05:44 PM I'd prefer Pawlenty over Romney. Daniels, Governor of Indiana would be good too. Hermy 01-13-2011, 10:21 PM Jindal has been mighty quiet. Happened to that dude? Uncle Mxy 01-14-2011, 03:43 PM Republicans realized he wasn't white. Tahoe 01-14-2011, 05:05 PM ^ SMH Tahoe 01-14-2011, 07:18 PM Republicans realized he wasn't white. The President has asked that we treet each other with more respect. Calling someone a racist, isjnotkrespectful. Tahoe 01-14-2011, 07:23 PM RE: Jindal. No one has heard from him since the Dems asked for money to research inner cities and he told them to just put some half assed levees around them. Uncle Mxy 01-16-2011, 11:57 AM Reps and Dems are polarized around race, at least at a party level. I don't see those politics changing soon, sadly. There's way too much racial polarization for it to not be part of the politics. I was not trying to cast aspersions about any person in particular. Tahoe 01-16-2011, 03:06 PM Jeb Bush. Jeb. I want us to have a President named Jeb. Jeb. Hey Jeb. Timone 01-16-2011, 03:09 PM You just want another Bush in office. Tahoe 01-16-2011, 03:12 PM We need a guy(or gal) named Jeb. Jeb. Jeb. Jeb. Timone 01-16-2011, 03:15 PM How about Jed? Good enough? Tahoe 01-16-2011, 03:16 PM Jed works. Jed for VP. Uncle Mxy 01-16-2011, 03:48 PM Where's Jethro when you need him? Tahoe 01-16-2011, 05:21 PM Reps and Dems are polarized around race, at least at a party level. I don't see those politics changing soon, sadly. There's way too much racial polarization for it to not be part of the politics. I was not trying to cast aspersions about any person in particular. Liberals have been able to convince peeps of this, but no where in conservative principles does it mention race...afaict. But it helps keep Dems in office. Uncle Mxy 01-19-2011, 01:57 PM Please define: "conservative principles" A lot of folks think "Southern strategy" fits right in... Tahoe 01-19-2011, 01:59 PM ^ Amazing. Tahoe 02-04-2011, 05:29 PM I saw an interview with Gov Christie the other day and thought he did a good job. Tahoe 02-04-2011, 05:30 PM I didn't see him in Fools chart/graph/thing. Tahoe 02-04-2011, 10:55 PM Here is a transcript of another inteview that I haven't read yet, but bet its good. http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/journal-editorial-report/transcript/nj-gov-chris-christie-taking-teachers-unions-pension-programs?page=1 Its foxnews Chris, so I'm sure they lied about everything in it. Tahoe 02-22-2011, 05:52 PM Thune not running. Both primary voters who planned to vote for him are available for interviews. Wilfredo Ledezma 02-22-2011, 09:25 PM Thune has been hoarding cash. I thought he was gonna try. Glenn 03-23-2011, 11:36 AM NEW POLL: Americans support Obama's reelection over generic GOP candidate by 10 points http://thkpr.gs/eJKD7p Tahoe 03-24-2011, 01:11 AM ENJOY THAT LEAD WHILE YOU CAN BIZATCHES! WTFchris 03-24-2011, 10:43 AM That lead will hold. Who even knows what the GOP stands for right now? They have two sub parties within them already and you don't even know what they stand for because they vote against their own interests (in some case their own proposal) just to stick it to Obama and the Dems. I won't vote for them anyway, but how are independents going to get behind a party without a clear message? WTFchris 03-24-2011, 10:46 AM Here is a transcript of another inteview that I haven't read yet, but bet its good. http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/journal-editorial-report/transcript/nj-gov-chris-christie-taking-teachers-unions-pension-programs?page=1 Its foxnews Chris, so I'm sure they lied about everything in it. I'll start reading something you post from their site when they drop the "news" in their name. Then at least they will admit they have slanted views just like the other media outlets. Until then I will be boycotting all foxnews content (unless it is a LOL@Foxnews story/clip in that thread and then I'm only viewing it for entertainment purposes). Tahoe 03-24-2011, 06:07 PM There is no such thing. Walter Cronkite admited he was liberal, Dan Rather, etc. C'mon man. No such thing. But FoxNews IS the closest to neutral as can be. Tahoe 03-24-2011, 06:08 PM That lead will hold. They stand for basically the same thing they stood for last November when they kicked your parties ass to the curb. |
