Huge win tonight over the Flames, gives us a three point lead on them and puts us only a point back of Nashville for the 7 seed. 14 games left including 2 with the Preds.

I didn't get to see the game, but I glanced at the updates a few times and was a bit upset when it was still 1-0 Flames in the 2nd. That was a must-win game from a momentum standpoint.

Right now, we're looking at a matchup with San Jose, with Chicago in 2nd and Vancouver in 3rd.

I'd prolly go to a Shark game, so thats ok with me.

As I said I'd really like to see them at #7 and facing Chicago. less travel and their goaltending is suspect (3.5 GAA in their last 10 games). They also lost one of their best young D because of Ovechkin's hit. He was 6th on the team in points logging over 23 minutes a night. Their 6th defenseman (Johnsson) was only getting 10 minutes a night before Campbell got hurt. Now they have to play him more and count on their last D man on their roster (which has only played in 30 games this year and 79 in his career) to pair with Johnsson.

If they end up with San Jose, there's a chance of a game in SJ while I'm in the area for work. I'd be pretty happy with that.

Woo.. another win puts the Wings tied for 7th, and only 2 points out of 5th. Hell of a playoff push by the guys. 8-1-1 is the second best last 10 games record running.
