View Full Version : Donations now being accepted for site upgrades

Glenn

We're trying to pull together about $250 for needed site upgrades/enhancements.

If you like the site and feel like you want to help out some, please do so here. (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=8NAZHSH3V3QGG)

If you would prefer to make an "offline" donation (mail a check/cash), send me a PM and I'll get you an address to send it to. All provided contact info will be kept secure and confidential, as always.

If you can't spare a few bucks right now or just don't feel that it's justified, that's fine, too, times are hard.

Thanks.

Update: please include your WTFDetroit.com username so we know who to thank :)

Update II: Also, we'd like to thank and acknowledge those who donate/sponsor. So, along with your username, please indicate if you want your donation to be private. We won't post donation amounts or anything like that.

So I've been told that there is a problem with that link.

We'll get it fixed chip-chop-chip.

Money is tight right now since we just bought a car and I have to pay the deductible off for my knee, but I figure I'll give a tiny bit so you guys don't call me an asshole lol. I don't remember how to send money so there are no, or the least amount of fees attached. Is it gift, other, purchase of services?

Matt

thanks for the love so far, guys, very positive. we'll be sure to list out what these donations are going towards. the site upgrades should have a good impact.

as Glenn mentioned, we've been hesitant to ask for donations in the past, always (happily) relying on funds from our own pockets. every little bit helps, so thanks again!

Other, maybe?

I think there are no fees only if the funds are taken directly from a bank account (e.g. not a credit card).

Alright then. Mine's coming out of a bank account, so hopefully you don't get dinged for much of it.

Please understand I'm not in a financial position to donate to a message board currently... Even my favorite one... At least, until I find a job. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Every link I've tried gives me a Fatal Failure. Does PayPal not work in Ohio?

I guess I don't blame it :(

I'll just go click-crazy in the meantime.

I had a nice little April Fool's prank planned for this yesterday, but I just couldn't pull the trigger.

Was going to post "unfortunately, we just don't have the resources to continue with the site anymore, so it will be shut down, permanently, effective June 1st".

In the end, I decided that not only did I not want to freak out/piss off those that just donated $, but I didn't want people to feel pressured into donating now under the assumption that they needed to save the site.

It would have been incredible, though.

Vinny

Matt could have been embezzling the funds.

Better, Taymelo, long forgotten, still had all the passwords and embezzled thousands in google ads revenue.

I do hold shares, right?
