Wilfredo Ledezma 03-04-2010, 11:11 PM Jets acquired CB Antonio Cromartie from the Chargers in exchange for a conditional third-round pick in 2011.
I wouldn't have given a 3rd rounder for Cromartie. I would've done a 5th & Mo Morris though.
Tahoe 03-04-2010, 11:19 PM I wouldn't have given a 3rd rounder for Cromartie. I would've done a 5th & Mo Morris though.
And it could be a 2nd. And he's going to cost the Jets some dough too.
Wilfredo Ledezma 03-04-2010, 11:21 PM And it could be a 2nd. And he's going to cost the Jets some dough too.
True, IDK why the Jets wanted Cromartie, they already have a top 3 CB in the lg w/ Revis.
I wonder if the Lions can pry Asomugha from Oakland or Finnegan from the Titans?
Tahoe 03-05-2010, 12:42 AM Bears get visits from Chester Taylor and Julius friggin Peppers.
Boonfriggindoggle if they could sign these 2.
Tahoe 03-05-2010, 01:29 AM part of me hopes we don't sign Chester Taylor to be an every-down back...
i just think he's this years Derrick Ward
It seems like everyone thinks he's going to be great and some team will prolly end up overpaying for him.
Glenn 03-05-2010, 06:51 AM As for my Steelers, I'd like to see them take a look at Tomlinson. Maybe he could have a Jerome Bettis-like run w/the Steelers.
Glenn 03-05-2010, 09:34 AM As for my Steelers, I'd like to see them take a look at Tomlinson. Maybe he could have a Jerome Bettis-like run w/the Steelers.
And I think Mike Tomlin would be a nice "father figure" for LT.
Anybody?
Tahoe 03-05-2010, 02:25 PM I guess Chester Taylor signed...w/Chicago and Peppers is close.
Tahoe 03-05-2010, 02:41 PM Gibril Wilson S Fins released.
Tahoe 03-05-2010, 02:58 PM Sorry Jake, not feelin your tears.
Glenn 03-05-2010, 05:04 PM Schefter thinks Tom Jones ends up in Cleveland.
RegicideGreg 03-05-2010, 05:07 PM Headline if he does sign with the lions:
"What's new pussy cat?"
Tahoe 03-05-2010, 06:32 PM Boldin a Raven.
LDB rejoices!
Tahoe 03-05-2010, 07:11 PM We're talkin bout football here, not that Rod Marinelli is a ex-Marine. Talkin bout football, not ex-marines, football. Football, not ex-marines. I mean WTF? We gonna start listing all that shit for every coach? We're talking bout football. fuck all that other bullshit
Tahoe 03-05-2010, 08:06 PM LenDale White Titans might want a trade.
Thoughts...comments...

Tahoe 03-05-2010, 08:11 PM White is 25ish, but the big thing is he is Chauncey Billups cuzin.
Fuck'n A, trade for his ass. Seriously, he might be a stop gap.
RegicideGreg 03-05-2010, 08:17 PM no thx on white. we need a guy who can break for a long run. white is at best a second back, power back.
Tahoe 03-05-2010, 08:28 PM At this point, I'd be happy to have him on the roster.
Glenn 03-05-2010, 08:29 PM Then they can trade him for cap space and sign two bench players.
Tahoe 03-05-2010, 09:30 PM Foote to Skins?
Tahoe 03-05-2010, 09:52 PM Dansby to Fins. Woulda liked him in Detroit.
Tahoe 03-05-2010, 10:53 PM 2 teams interested in Sharper.
Tahoe 03-05-2010, 11:08 PM Giants sign Rolle.
Tahoe 03-06-2010, 08:53 PM Jets are looking for a vet RB. Shit and stuff. Cuz where do where do you think a vet running back would rather play...NY Jets or the Liedowns?
BIG BEN'S FRO 03-07-2010, 07:34 AM PT is extremely important to RBs, who have a high burnout rate and need carries to get cash. That said, TDs and a good line sure help too, which the Jets have over us in spades. I would guess that Maurice Morris was happy he signed with us. He had a few very solid games and currently has no competition for carries.
Glenn 03-08-2010, 12:54 PM Allen, Steelers make a deal
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on March 8, 2010 12:45 PM ET
The Steelers didn't waste any time improving their safety depth.
The team has already agreed to a three-year contract with former Bucs safety Will Allen, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Allen and Arnaz Battle are in Pittsburgh for the Steelers' first free agent visits of the year. It appears last year's starting free safety Ryan Clark, now visiting Miami, will not be back with the team.
Tahoe 03-09-2010, 09:14 AM Nice job by da Bears

Bears can pull the plug on Peppers after one year
Posted by Mike Florio on March 8, 2010 11:07 PM ET
We mentioned earlier tonight some of the details relating to the Julius Peppers deal. We've picked up some more information about the contract, and it's now clear that if the Bears clean house after the 2010 season, it'll be easier for the new regime to bid Peppers adieu.
As Peter King of SI.com pointed out this afternoon, Peppers gets $20 million in 2010 (all but a $100,000 workout bonus is guaranteed). But the $22 million in guaranteed money that he's due to receive in 2011 and 2012 is guaranteed for injury only.
This means that the Bears can decide after the 2010 season to cut Peppers for skill reasons -- and they'll owe him nothing.

Glenn 03-09-2010, 09:18 AM In addition to Will Allen, the Steelers brought back Randle El, signed Arnaz Battle and kept Ryan Clark whom almost everybody thought was gone.
Not bad.
Need some big time OL/RB help, now.
Glenn 03-09-2010, 05:34 PM Tom Jones to KC.
Tomlinson to meet with the Vikes. A Peterson/LT backfield?
Glenn 03-09-2010, 05:36 PM Derek Anderson cut by the Browns.
Much like Delhomme, DA seems like he has Detroit Lions DNA.
WTFchris 03-09-2010, 07:18 PM I heard maybe Bulger as a backup to Stafford. He played for Lienehan.
DrRay11 03-09-2010, 08:14 PM I had thought the two had a falling out...
Tahoe 03-09-2010, 11:08 PM Derek Anderson says "ruthless" Browns fans "don't deserve a winner"
I'm begining to like this guy.
Timone 03-10-2010, 09:58 AM Derek Anderson cut by the Browns.
Much like Delhomme, DA seems like he has Detroit Lions DNA.
I lol at "former Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Anderson" every time.
Wilfredo Ledezma 03-12-2010, 08:55 AM Ben Watson signed w/ Cleveland. I guess they weren't satisfied w/ Michael Gaines last yr either.
Wilfredo Ledezma 03-13-2010, 06:33 PM Delhomme signed w/ the Brownies.
RegicideGreg 03-14-2010, 05:02 PM Jay_Glazer
I'm reporting brady quinn was just traded to denver for peyton hillis and 2 conditional draft picks
via twitter
At least he didn't go to st. louis.
Vinny 03-14-2010, 05:11 PM So that leaves nobody in Cleveland??
RegicideGreg 03-14-2010, 05:12 PM except for seneca wallace and jake delhomme
Vinny 03-14-2010, 05:15 PM They could presumably be in the market to trade up then if STL passes on Bradford.
Glenn 03-14-2010, 05:27 PM So Denver actually realized that Orton sucks. Not that Quinn is the answer to anything other than Zekyl's wet dreams.
Glenn 03-15-2010, 11:21 AM Larry Foote "excited to return" to Steelers
Posted by Michael David Smith on March 15, 2010 10:56 AM ET
Free agent linebacker Larry Foote appears close to agreeing to a deal to return to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"I am excited to return," Foote told Terry Foster of the Detroit News. "They called."
Foote played for the Steelers from 2002 to 2008 before signing with his hometown team, the Lions, in 2009. Even though things didn't go particularly well in Detroit, Foote says he doesn't regret it.
"It was a positive experience," he said. "I mean, I got to play at home, but the part that stunk is that all of the games were not on television. ... But overall, the people I met and networked with, I was happy about the situation."
The Cardinals are the other team in the running for Foote, but a story on the Cardinals' official web site says it doesn't look like it's going to work out in Arizona, so Pittsburgh seems to be the place Foote will sign, possibly as soon as today.
LOL, sorry LIONS FANS
DrRay11 03-15-2010, 01:01 PM We don't care. He began to freelance to much as a 3-4 ILB would, but that's not what we play. Plus, we have Sims, Levy, and Peterson all currently slotted to start anyway.
Sims came on strongly at the end of the year, Levy was impressive, and Peterson was okay (hopefully we can restructure him).
DrRay,
The correct reply is, "At least our QB isn't a rapist."
Fool
Glenn 03-15-2010, 01:05 PM Or "Shittsburgh".
WTFchris 03-15-2010, 01:06 PM So Denver actually realized that Orton sucks. Not that Quinn is the answer to anything other than Zekyl's wet dreams.
Not a Quinn fan, but the price was not steep. It was worth seeing if he can be much better under McDaniels (former Weiss pupil). I was hoping for Lavefour in the 3rd round but like I said Quinn came cheap (perhaps not contract wise but asset wise).
We'll see I guess. They have a good OL, and good WR's (even if Marshall leaves they'll get a first rounder and replace him). Better situation than the Browns at least.
WTFchris 03-15-2010, 01:11 PM They could presumably be in the market to trade up then if STL passes on Bradford.
Washington and Seattle will certainly consider and probably take QB's if Bradford/Clausen are available. I doubt the Browns reach for Tebow, so they'd have to look at McCoy in the 2nd maybe as their best bet.
I could see them trading up, but do they have enough to get to #2?
If they offered #7, #39 and next year's first I would do it.
Zekyl 03-15-2010, 10:39 PM So Denver actually realized that Orton sucks. Not that Quinn is the answer to anything other than Zekyl's wet dreams.
:emo kid:
Zekyl 03-15-2010, 10:43 PM Reach for Tebow? The 3rd round is a reach for Tebow.
Timone 03-21-2010, 04:52 PM Reach for Tebow? The 3rd round is a reach for Tebow.
You've never spent spent 5 minutes with the guy.
WTFchris 03-22-2010, 07:02 PM There is a joke somewhere in there about spending 5 minutes with him and reaching...
Glenn 04-02-2010, 03:43 PM Fast Willie to the Skins.
Bye.
