2010 is pretty much my "lost year" since I'll be going to school year round, so I don't know that I'll have the time to allocate towards Fantasy Baseball as I otherwise would normally have.

That said, I'll still probably win the league like I did in 2008 (which I'm still waiting for my alpaca payout for).

Suggestion: AL Only League so Zach Miner will have value.

Blegh, 2 catchers? Can we change that?

Let's see how many teams we get, first.

If we only get 8 or 10, we'll only be going 16-20 deep for catchers.

If you include all of the players that are catcher-eligible that don't actually play C (like Inge last year, and others), there should be plenty of talent to choose from.

Even in a small league, 2 catchers are too much.

There's more guys than you'd think. The point of 2 catchers is the same as 2 centers in NBA leagues, to normalize things since there's such limited top tier talent. Theoretically, you get 2 average guys and it evens you out against the guy that gets Mauer and some schmuck. There's a bunch of useful guys this year though....

Mauer, Martinez, McCann, Russel Martin, Montero, Posada, Soto, Napoli, Wieters, Suzuki, Doumit....even Bengi molina hit 20 homers last year.

That's 12 guys right off the top of my head.

Agree. It's kind of lame if all of the players are stars or all stars. Part of the fun is looking for lesser talented guys, at least for me.

It takes like a minute to set your lineup each day and you can set it for as far ahead as you want. Beyond that, it depends how much research etc you might want to do, how into it you get.

Thanks and I'm not sure if you know it or not, but I'm a pretty big deal and I don't want to get embarrassed or anything like that. So I'd have to figure in a certain amount of time to avoid all that.

Draft will take like an hourish . Computer will draft automatically for you if you don't want to stay for the whole thing or any of it even.

Maybe Tahoe could play just "as a favor", you know, just to "help us out"?

For the rest of the spots, would you guys rather...

1. Try to fill it with friends and "outsiders"

2. Reduce the size of the league

3. Fill it by making the league public.

While they all have drawbacks (trying to drum up 5 friends in a short amount of time, small league, adding outsiders with no incentive to follow through all season, etc), I think I would lean towards #3, since we seem to get quitters even when we restrict it to WTF-only.

Go public. Recruit some randoms to join the site.

Tahoe might be able to donate crew #3 to the movement.

I've seen them fill right before the draft before. Sometimes people just pick the one that's drafting the soonest.

Worst case, if a spot or two goes unfilled, it's no big whoop since it's not head to head anyways.

Yes, but it drafts Dontrelle Willis in the first round automatically.

Also, I want the computer to draft for me. Is there anything I need to do before hand? Do I need to sign in? Or does it just handle it if I'm not there?

I love how yahoo drafted me a grand total of 0 closers. Yuck. I guess I'll just be combing the waiver wire this year.
