Marc Stein just reported that three-way deal with Knicks is done -- TMac to Knicks, Hughes to Sac, Jeffries to Hou with 2012 first and right to swap in 2011. Landry, Dorsey to Sac, Martin to Hou, no word on Sergio. Looks like Hill stays in NY.

ESPN.com link has Jordan Hill in the deal because he IS in the deal and Houston-bound. Accidentally omitted from tweets http://bit.ly/99dTum

nice Houston gets a lotterpick and a first round pick for an expiring contract, we didnt even get a Pick for Chauncey, and our last expiring contracts turned into 3 bench guys...the Pistons will stuck be in mediocrity for the next few years, Dumars thought he could fix this quick, now were stuck with awful contracts like Maxiell, RIP, Gordon, Villa --- these are our core guys, become no one wants them...what the worst, this team will be good enough to win 30-35 games every year, that lotto pick 8-12, no mayor top lotto talent in sigh, no trades possible to improve

nice deal for Rockets, especially if Hill pans out next to Yao.

With Jeffries' $6.8 million gone from next year's books, T-Mac on an expiring deal and Rodriguez being a restricted free agent with a $2.8 million qualifying offer after the season, the Knicks have shaved some salary here and now have even more room to potentially go after the likes of LeBron James (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=1966), Chris Bosh (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=1977), Dwyane Wade (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=1987) and Amare Stoudemire (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=1727).

But it's a plan that comes with a steep price, tweets ESPN's Chad Ford (http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/features/%3Ca%20href=): "The Knicks gave up A LOT for extra $9.5 million in space. Hill, a Top 1 protected in 2011 and Top 5 protected in 2012. They better get LeBron."

What if they miss out on him? Do they sign a bunch of B level FA's like Dumars did? I would bet they could get Amare at least, and probably Joe Johnson.

I doubt Amar'e plays for Dantoni again.

I can see Bosh + Johnson if they miss on LeBron.

They'll probably make a run at Wade too if they miss on LeBron (Bosh + Wade?)

A bunch of these primo FA's have the same agent, too, so there might be collusion amongst them to orchestrate where they all end up.

Of course, any of them that decides to leave their team will be leaving ~$30m on the table, unless they can get a S&T.

I though Amare's unhappiness started after Dantoni left.
